Week 4 Power Rankings

The Contenders:
1. Giants (4-0) This was the best team in football for 15 weeks last year.  Their only concern was at WR, and so far they've produced.
2. Vikings(4-0) Dominant in the tenches, Peterson is the best RB we've seen in a long while, and now they have Favre and Percy Harvin.
3. Colts (4-0) Shhhh.   Quietly the Colts are 4-0 and Manning is putting up big numbers again.  For all of the years this team was over-hyped, they are now under the radar.
4. Saints (4-0) The NFC version of the Colts, except not as talented on defense. Or are they?
5. Patriots (3-1) They started the season slow, but rebounded to beat very good Falcons and Ravens teams. They are doing what good teams do, win close games and improve each week.
6. Ravens(3-1)  Beating the teams they are supposed to beat, and scoring tons of points.  If the defense wakes up they could be a SB favorite.
7. Eagles (2-1) Surviving without McNabb and Jim Johnson.  Will be a dangerous team once they put it all together.
8. Steelers (2-2) The Steelers have dominated teams for 3 quarters, but faltered in the 4th.  Once they get Troy back and start attacking with a lead, they will be fine.

Knocking on the door:
9. Jets (3-1) Agressive attacking defense, good O-line and running game.  Beating good teams, but will only go as far as Sanchez takes them.
10. Falcons (2-1) Matt Ryan, Michael Turner, Tony Gonzales, and Roddy White are the real deal, but their defense isn't championship caliber.
11. Bears (3-1) Jay Cutler is making a big difference and their front 4 on defense is dangerous.
12. Broncos (4-0) Either the worst 4-0 team ever, or I horribly underestimated them.  How are they winning with that D-line and QB? Dumervil is a terror as a 3-4 OLB.  James Harrison Jr.
13. 49ers (3-1) A crazy play by Brett Favre is the only reason they aren't 4-0.  SIngletary has the team in the right direction and their 3-4 D is pretty good.
14. Bengals (3-1) Would be 4-0 in not for the fluke play vs Denver.  They beat two good teams in Green Bay and Pittsburgh, but have been outplayed at times and still have a lot of holes.

Bubble Boys:
15. Chargers (2-2) Despite having multiple injuries on the O-line the Chargers havent missed a beat offensively, but their defense is horrendously bad.
16. Cowboys (2-2)  Up and down start to the season, but have a ton of talent.
17. Packers (2-2) Serious O-line problems are keeping them from reaching potential.
18. Cardinals (1-2) Slow start and already 2 wins behind the 49ers.  They have the talent to get back in the picture though.
19. Jaguars (2-2)  The Jags have made strides the last two weeks, and blew out the Titans even without BOTH of their starting tackles.
20. Texans (2-2)  The Texans offense is putting up a lot of points, and their defense is giving them up in bunches.

Not there yet, maybe next year:
21. Titans(0-4) Rough start, losing close games 3 straight weeks. A few breaks away from 3-0, then dominated by the Jags..
22. Dolphins (1-3) Slow start, but improving.
23. Redskins (2-2)  Tons of talent, but they never put it together.  Lost to the Lions and barely beat the Rams and Bucs.
24. Bills (1-3)  Started strong against New England, but after Leodis McKelvin happened, they've spiraled downhill fast.  How long till T.O. implodes?
25. Panthers (0-3) What a colossal fall in 1 year.  Have been outscored by 50 points in 3 games, so it's not like it's just been bad bounces.  Need a new QB.  Coach Cowher next year?
26. Seahawks (1-3)  So much for all the offseason hype.  There is a reason they only had 2 wins last year that didn't come at the expense of the Rams.

You Suck:
27. Raiders (1-3)  Played the Chargers tough in week 1, but it has been downhil since then.
28. Lions (1-3)  They finally got a win, but still lack the talent to be respectable.
30. Browns (0-4) Opponents so far are a combined 14-2.  Benching Quinn for Anderson may prove to be a smart move.
29. Chiefs (0-4) They simply don't have any one strength to hang their hats on.  Equally bad in all facets of the game.  Was Matt Cassel worth it?
31. Bucs (0-4) Poor Leftwich.  They purged the remaining talent on the team in the offseason and look to be a cellar dwellar for the next few years.
32. Rams (0-4)  Are 2008 Lions bad.  They travel to Detroit in a few weeks, and if they don't win that game they may go winless this year.
