The replacement referees are a few hours from being THE referees for the 2012-13 NFL season. While it is unknown how long the lockout will last, it is known that regular season games begin tonight and someone has to officiate them. There are many reasons for the lockout to include money and accountability. My intent is to offer some thoughts about this situation.
