All I want to know is…Where was this team prior to the past two weeks? The Steelers played a smart, passionate game against the Ravens…They looked like a championship team. The Steelers offense was effective in the 1st half…The defense didn’t allow a 4th quarter point…The coaching staff devised an excellent game plan and the players followed it to a “T”.
To quote the great Eddie Vedder…We’re Still Alive. Maybe it’s too little too late, I can say with certainty I’m no longer embarrassed to be a Steelers fan. Ben took this team on his shoulders last week…The receivers did make a ton of plays…Ben put balls in tiny windows all evening…Ben will never be a classic drop quarterback…He is a gunslinger with zero conscience…Ben is my guy…I never lost faith in #7…He is the franchise.
This week’s gospel will be a little different; generally when the Steelers play on a short week I will focus only on the matchups…The problem this week…I have no freaking clue what players will start for the Steelers at key positions across the defense. I will guess at the matchups. This season feels like 2003…The Steelers are just a mess…The team has zero direction on both sides of the ball.
Steeler nation I wish I had some answers for you…I don’t. I can’t give you one reason why the Steelers will repeat as Super Bowl Champions. Have I given up hope…No;
I hate bye weeks; I understand the NFL wants to extend the season and they also want to give the fans and players a week off during the season for recuperation. The reason I hate bye weeks is simple…It disrupts the flow and momentum of the team.
