Um...can you point out the FIRST time Drew Brees won a Super Bowl by himself?

Well, check the timing.....because, to be fair, I think Chicago may have been watching Ben fuck his gf.

Talking about changes on D this thread.

Can't help but think bringing Timmons back this year may have been the difference this past Sunday. ie the fournette 4th down TD. Stopping that could have changed the entire complexion of the game.

I understand there are cap decisions, etc. So I'm not knocking the decision as much as I'm just thinking "what if". Especially considering it seems he wanted to stay here.

Drew Brees won a Super Bowl with a strong run game and opportunistic defense. This is not to discount his performance that year because it was outstanding...but in subsequent years, he was still putting up great numbers, but the defense and run game went to shit, and wouldn't you know it? New Orleans didn't sniff another Super Bowl, nor was really a serious contender for one...until this year when, surprise surprise, they had a strong run game and a reasonably good defense.

In my mind, there are two QBs who make all the difference for their teams, and are serious contenders solely because of them...Aaron Rodgers and (on a one year sample) Carson Wentz.

Watching Inside the NFL last night....showed that TD from behind the Steelers defense. Worst looking shot yet...I don't looked to me like Spence didn't want to make the hit....was in perfect fuckin' position, the basically avoided what would have been a violent collision.

And yes...would have changed the complexion of the game.
