Talking shit is hardly lack of discipline. I always took it from the Dungy interview that MT was trying a different tack. It worked except for the fucking JJ bullshit call.

These are nice click bait articles that would have been spun as swagger articles had they won.

I think they are signs of areas that could be cleaned up or a different course could be taken. It was a concerted effort by Tomlin in my estimation, to get the players to a different mental state to believe they could beat NE and not hope. His teams have always been pretty good about parroting his messaging, and MT’s strength has always been his communication, motivation and branding. Strategy fucked them in Jax game!

You know what would work better to instill confidence in players rather than puffing them up?

Actually having them...you know...PREPARED for their matchup, and benching them when they continually fuck up.

And being prepared yourself as a coach, and oh...in that big game? Not suddenly playing scared with an eight point lead and try and sit on the ball for an ENTIRE FUCKING QUARTER.

Belichick would NEVER pay that much money for a single fucking RB

Look at the guys who he has used over the years --

Dion Lewis? Rex Burkhead? James White?

trash heap guys

We are wasting too much money at the RB position

I don't see Lewis or Burkhead as trash heap guys. Well, I guess you could call Cleveland and Cincinnati trash heaps...nevermind.

Stop it with his strength is branding and communication
It is bullshit rhetoric that holds no value except a short term diversion from the absence of substance
And the team I saw against jax - other than a handful of players on offense -- and in the pats playoff game last Year were not motivated teams. They reminded me more of a Marvinb Lewis ochoconco paper tiger bengals team that hops around and folds after the first punch

Knew from the opening kickoff ...when that pile moved 10 yards....that Jax simply wanted it more.

It should also be noted that the lack of discipline isn't just this year.

Other guys have taken advantage of Tomlin's lackadaisical approach in the past. Coates comes to mind, as does BR's comments after the loss to Dallas where he said the team lacked discipline. It's not just this forum that highlights failures in reigning in prima donnas and players that think because they are the steelers with AB/BR/Bell, they will win.

Looking at the clusterfuck after the overturned James TD catch against the Pats should tell you all you need to know.
