Can u imagine any of this happening in New England? As much as I hate that team, I do admire its sense of professionalism and the focus on the task at hand which is NEVER more than the upcoming game. Ist round pick Jamie Collins couldn't see the lite and he gets shipped to Cleveland...Bell and even others (AB at times) are more about themselves and not about the TEAM. Bell is critical to the offense but not at the cost of showing up late to meetings, etc.

It’s the circle of coaching:

A player’s coach ends up getting walked on and a red-assed taskmaster wears out his players. Then whichever type of coach a team has, they look for the opposite the next time they’re hiring one.

Seems to me you want to hire a coach that has the appropriate blend of both approaches, like a fine medium roast coffee.

Medium Roast coffee sucks.

Life is too short to do anything half-assed. Moderation is for losers.

Turkish coffee man, eh?

IF this doesn’t make every fan here and beyond angry and pissed that we have a lazy players coach who doesn’t value discipline in the ranks from all subordinates......we ain’t winning shit!!! PERIOD

A. Fire Tomlin
B. EMR makes Tomlin or decrees a series of demands if he wants a paycheck
C. Fire Tomlin
D. FIRE TOMLIN

Coughlin is the #1 reason for Jax impressive team and attention to detail. Marrone is a good match for that team and Buffalo is just stupid

so if they weere gonna move on from Bell, question is do they trade him? comp pick? what would we get in a trade?

Can't trade him unless he signs something.

According to the rules, can you work out a conditional trade agreement (maybe with some middle-of-the-pack/bottom feeder team in the NFC), get him to agree to it, franchise him, and then do the deal? Or would that violate the rules. Just asking.

Thing is, we CAN franchise him. And then, we have the power to give him a choice between play for us…and sit out the season. So, we would have leverage. Right?

Until he signs the tender, he's not under contract for you to do anything.

If you really wanted to send a message, when he plays his game of not signing the tender and sitting out, you just yank and "don't let the door hit you in the ass". At that point, very few teams have the money to sign him (and not anyone good that he'd want to play for).

In America, make it Turkish coffee from heated sand or a solid Italian Roast espresso for me. 3rd wave coffee and drip of all kinds generally gives me the creeps, with a couple of notable exceptions: 1. Dark Matter Coffee 2. Wicked Joe's Wicked Italian 3. Stumptown 4. Prodigy on Carmine Street 5. Joe the Art Of Coffee

Intelligensia is right on the borderline. You couldn't pay me to drink a Coffee Culture medium roast.

You try nitrogenated coffee yet?

I'm torn about it.

Enough has come out recently that proves the people here who have been critical of Tomlin have been correct. It’s all comin to light.

Would have much preferred to be proven completely wrong and have to eat some crow.

Now just left knowing what I thought I’ve known for a couple years now. And it stinks because it makes it almost impossible to get excited about this team.
One of the most talented offenses in Steelers history has been wasted and a multitude of high draft picks thrown at the defense has delivered nothing but garbage.

Exactly right....as we KNOW this team will never win another Super Bowl with this guy as Head Coach. And....we also know his job is safer than the Pope's.
