Opinions on the credibility of Steelers Depot aside, it is interesting to see this breakdown of where the defense failed at the LOS last week.

http://www.steelersdepot.com/2018/01/wa ... scrimmage/

The things that jump out:

- Hargrave going down KILLED us. Walton was completely overmatched as the NT and we were screwed from the getgo (a far cry from the Hampton or even McClendon days)
- Spence sucks... we knew that.
- Dupree is pathetic. He is seriously stealing a paycheck at this point. Can't play the pass or the run.

You think of the "Golden triangles" we have fielded in the past (Steed, Kirkland, Brown/Holmes) or (Hampton, Farrior, Timmons), and we are so fucking far from that now. This film is such a god damn disgrace.
We really need to think about switching to a 4-3 and bringing on 3 or 4 more defensive linemen this offseason.

Tell Bell to take a walk and use the dollars to bring in the defensive horses we need. Draft some RBs (plural) to replace him.

RE - Heyward, High pick, Chickillo
NT - FA, Alualu
3tech - Hargrave, Midround pick, Walton
LE - Tuitt, FA
Will - Watt, Fort
Mike - FA, Williams
SAM - FA, Dupree

So Walton was getting blown off the ball.

So what was the point of keeping McCullers, for who we jettisoned James Harrison?

Seriously... And I thought Alualu had some NT chops. This whole defensive gameplan and performance just makes less and less sense the more the onion is peeled. I havent been this ashamed of a Steeler D in a long time.

Last time for me was when the Pats dropped a 55 burger on Tomlin/Lebeau's defense 2013 in Foxboro.

THe one rugby scrum play Fournette had both feet lifted off the ground and was getting carried a couple yards down field.

The point was to humiliate Harrison.

ANOther mistake to cut him

Sending him home or a suspension takes him off th active roster for a week

Humble James then bring him back. Cut big dan

Smart move, humiliate one of the guys who was instrumental in you being able to call yourself a Super Bowl winning coach.

Cuntlin turns my stomach.

It's funny that Tomlin had to resort to lying in his presser dedicated to explain cutting Harrison. He claimed that McCullers was the back-up NT, when clearly he wasn't. That speaks volumes.
