No offense intended Swiss. This subject has been beaten to death many, many times over the last several seasons. That said, If Tomlin is to be replaced I agree with the consensus that it should be from outside the franchise. Although, Munchak has the necessary experience and he is well respected. Munchak is not my first choice either. As an interim sure. Permanent, No thanks. Kinda like the Russ Grimm scenario all over again, right? I'd prefer a defensive minded coach with a history as a disciplinarian. Or in layman terms not quite the players coach we have in Tomlin today but yet still yields the same if not more respect from players. Is there such a coach? Yet to be determined. Not something I'll burden myself with proof of at this point because Tomlin is going to stay for as long as he is producing. In case you've forgotten, let me remind you that this ownership regards 8-8 seasons as productive. One and done in the playoffs as productive. 13-3 regular season, with a humiliating postseason defeat at home as productive. As long as Tomlin manages that type of production he stays.

It would probably take three consecutive non playoff seasons just for A2 to turn up the heat. Coach Aviators has built up a ton of goodwill in Rooneyland...

And let me remind you that about 24 other teams and scores of players/ coaches in the NFL would kill for that kind of production. And the opportunity to play in the playoffs.

I don't think Munchak is fielding offers from the steelers. I think he's probably going to have a lot more input into the offense in game planning and maybe even consult with Fitch in play calling. I think the offense is probably going to improve a lot. Haley was an obstacle. Stubborn, and an arrogant prick.

They got worse the more time he was there, they were terrible in division, got annihilated way too many times, and his drafts were awful. Jake Locker, Kendall Wright, and Chance Warmack oh my. Was a complete failure and left the Titans in shambles, took years for them to turn it around after he was forced out.

But he was born in PA and went to Penn State so all is forgiven.

Good point, things sure are going smoothly in Steelersland with Mike Cuntlin!!

A decade since the last Super Bowl win despite having a Hall of Fame QB, the best WR in football AND the best RB in football.

Don't worry, another decade or so and Cuntlin will get this ship turned around!!

That's not the point, KC. The point is why replace Tomlin with a guy who's already failed as an NFL HC? It is possible to get someone worse than Tomlin.

Can't stop there is the point. If you're gonna be a contender every season eventually you Have to Win a championship. Otherwise it's just that much more embarrassing making the show to only be ushered out immediately after it begins. Like getting ready for that fun filled vacation only to realize you've missed the plane and was already left behind...

There are also guys who get better the second time around.

Three Tennessee coaches just fired I'd look at bringing in. Steve Hoffman, special teams coordinator, Lou Spanos LB'ers coach and Terry Robiskie ex-offensive coordinator. Another one I look at is ex-Lion's QBs coach Brian Callahan.
