Our coaching staff ran a delayed pitch draw on 4th and inches against a team that was EXTREMELY quick to the ball carrier. No way they could pull off this level of cheating with any kind of success.

Our coaching staff would probably cheat at things that gave them no advantage.

Like stickum on the defense's jerseys - our guys will shed less blocks but make-up for it by missing fewer tackles.

You're simply not trying if you're not cheating....

It also helps to have great players peppered in your roster with excellent coaching in your ranks. Is that considered luck? Or is it considered, by design?

For example, coach Munchak. How well has the Steelers OLine become? Sure, some of that is pure talent but I think a lot is coach Munchak himself. Identifying what players will fulfill his standards of achievement. Look at the OLine today. Considered in the top 5. Who would have thought that several years ago?

Another shining example is coach Mann. Before he retired how many WR's did coach Mann come into contact with and literally coach up? Many, even before he coached there in Pittsburgh. Just the Steelers alone have benefitted from coach Mann's coaching prowess over the last several years. Now that Mann has retired will the next coach continue the traditions implemented by coach Mann? We'll have to wait and see.

Wish I could name more Steelers' coaches but none come to mind. Perhaps DLine coach Mitchell. Been doing it a long time with decent success. Who else?

come on man -- listen to that guy -- listen to what other coaches say about him -- look at his record

He grew up at the damn Naval Academy watching his dad coach, standing every day at noon for the National Anthem!

give the guy the credit he is due

I love the story about his first day as the HC in NE

he started the first team meeting, and one of the better players from that team -- a 1st rounder -- walked into the meeting late, and then had the audacity to walk up to the front row!

BB kicked his ass out of the meeting!

Tomfuck would've probably given him a fist bump and said "wuz shakin' dog? Hey AB, you get that posted up on Facebook?"

the BB line I quoted in the headline just irks me, because I know this fucking coaching staff has held our team back

I still can't believe that idiotic onside kick against JAX -- that is fucking unforgiveable

Great players CANNOT overcome shitty coaching, ain't that the fucking truth
