That hurts his argument even more.

Well, we all know what his actual argument is here...
There's an argument?

Anyone that ranks Tannehill and Dalton above Russell Wilson has not watched much football, if any, outside of the Steelers.

Or is ranking on a completely different criterion.

Really? He's very, very good.

QB Win %: 8th (Ben 10th, Bradshaw 7th)
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_National_Football_League_career_quarterback_wins_leaders

YPA: 11th all time (Ben 8th)

QB rating: 2nd all-time (Ben 9th)
https://www.pro-football-reference.com/leaders/pass_rating_career.htm

comp %: 12th all time (Ben 11th)
https://www.pro-football-reference.com/leaders/pass_cmp_perc_career.htm

Int %: 5th all-time (Ben 33rd)
https://www.pro-football-reference.com/leaders/pass_int_perc_career.htm

TD %: 19th all-time (Ben 41st)
https://www.pro-football-reference.com/leaders/pass_td_perc_career.htm

Of course, there's some adjustment for era... but even among those in his era he's been fantastic.

Our 2 franchise qb's are Bradshaw and Ben. IMO, Steelers fans should be slow to dis playmaking qb's like Favre and Wilson who have won big in this league.

Full disclosure... I have not watched Wilson much the past couple years. I used to enjoy watching him play though.

I’d trade Ben for Wilson right now and wouldn’t even have to think about it for a minute.

At the end of Ben's career, sure.

Wilson, IMO, is the only young QB worth a damn. Probably Cousins. Watson and some others, possibly, but the jury is still out.

Says the dip shit that would start Landry Jones over Wilson.

Nothing crazy about it. I think when Ben falls off a cliff it will happen quickly.

Plus, his play when it’s mattered most has been hit and miss with more miss for a looooong time now.

And this coming from one of Ben’s strongest supporters over the years.

Seattle would laugh at the offer.

He's had a bunch of game-winning drives the past 2 years. Been outstanding in the playoffs the past 3 years. The 2nd half of this season was probably the best stretch he's had in his entire career.

I guess “outstanding” in the playoffs is a matter of opinion. He served up 14 points to the opposing defense while playing in the comforts of home his most recent playoff game.

Stats don’t impress me. Mistake free football that increases the likelihood of a W while decreasing the likelihood of an L is much more important than piling up stats.

Should we look at the scrub QBs he’s failed to outscore in the playoffs over the better part of the past decade?

Throw in the fact that this current version of Ben evidently has a vagina and would rather lose a playoff game than run a QB sneak and it all has me a tad bit underwhelmed

This from the guy who started a thread demanding Ben retire. Glad to see you were able to climb down off that ledge

This is some funny ass shit! I think Russell Wilson is an outstanding QB...I wouldn't trade 35 year old Ben Roethlisberger for 10 Russell Wilson’s. Ben is a generational talent...yep, the only generational talent on this team. (Sorry AB and Lev Bell fanboys. Although AB is close.) 10 years from now, all you assholes will realize what we have. Hell, three years from now, when we usher in the Jones/Dobbs era, we will all appreciate the talent that was 7. Just as when people dissed Bradshaw as being the beneficiary of the talent around him, then BOOM...no more Terry, and all of a sudden, the talent wasn’t so talented, we’ ll come to that realization when Ben hangs em up.
For those that would take Wilson over 7...what happened at the most significant moment of each ones career? Ben made the gutsiest, most fuck you, in your face, balls out pass that was ever made...Russell Wilson puked all over his jersey...
Ben Roethlisberger is a first ballot HoFer...Russell Wilson might get a nomination.

Why are you ignoring that two years later, Ben tried to force a pass to Mike Wallace when Heath Miller was wide open for a first down that would have kept the drive alive?

Once again Jeemie, just because you believe that a guy is wide open from the vantage point of your recliner, doesn’t mean that he is actually wide open...
And I’m sure that Russell Wilson has never forced a pass...oh...wait...
Malcolm Butler says hi.

It's not mutually exclusive. Ben's pussiness to do things that win games negate a lot of the great things he is capable of.

I never demanded that Ben retire. I said if he was going to play like a pussy then he probably should.

I know...but it kind of negates the comparison you were trying to make.

Ben has been in three Super Bowls.

He had long stretches of mediocre play in all three of them. Absent that drive for the ages, he's been pedestrian in Super Bowls.

I really think you ought to turn in your Steelers fan card. You've overanalyzed and critiqued to the point of no longer being able to see the team you root for for what it is.
