No breaking news, but thought it was interesting story.

I was listening to Madden the other day. He was discussing the Steelers bad culture in the clubhouse and the overall lack of leadership.

He told a story about former WR Mike Wallace. Wallace apparently didn’t like reporter Mark Kaboly because he is fat. Kaboly was asking Wallace some questions while Tomlin was walking by the two in the locker room . Wallace yelled out to him, “Coach T, do I have to talk to this Fat Fuck?”

Tomlin replied no, not if you don’t want. Madden asked, could you imagine Lynn Swann asking Chuck Noll this question?

Madden was basically blaming Tomlin for enabling all of the bad behavior over the years which was on full display last year.

Maybe Wallace was in the middle of “game point” in ping pong.

What we have here is classic hearsay wrapped in a circular argument to be used as "proof" to validate what people may be thinking.

Someone told someone something 5 years ago and the guy saying the offensive stuff is not here to defend himself. Who told the reporter that Wallace had a problem with his weight? I think a better reason is, Wallace was getting it from the media his last 2 years here (justifiably) and I am sure that some unflattering things may have been printed. Sound like a more viable reason? And wouldn't make more sense that the fat fuck in question might be trying to write another story and Wallace wasn't having it. Perhaps the reporter said he had to answer the questions due to some league media mandate and Wallace brought Tomlin in to shut it down? The answer is---- who knows? Because all we have is speculation and blame- the fuel of message boards and disheartened fans looking for anything and everything to help them through a tough time- that and porn apparently.

And if hearsay is going to be used the source should have more credibility than a hardcore drug user at a murder scene? Maddens opinions are treated as such around here. Suddenly we are going with what he said as proof that the clubhouse was dysfunctional 5 years ago and that somehow applies now because of what? You know, because that what we believe is going on.

Oh and Noll didn't suffer fools in the media or the clubhouse so I'm sure that if that happened 40 years ago the reporter would have been shown the door.

It's not like Kaboly isn't a fat fuck.

Yes, but this is all a misunderstanding. Wallace was obviously talking about the fat fuck Peter King.

Regardless of who is the Fat F#ck, the locker room situation sounds like the Three Stooges in Disorder In The Court but there are lot more than 3 stooges. I wish Mike Tomlin would take off his aviator sunglasses & look at what's going on there & do something about it.

It does fit the criteria of the unruly locker room agenda. Or the inmates running the asylum speculation. The 'potted plant' theory. Strong arguments can/will be made for all sides I'm sure. What else is there to do while waiting for the combine and draft?

It's clear Madden took that personally, since he is also a fat fuck.

For those looking to emulate locker room disciplines here's a tidbit of insider information...A little insight to another 'winning' franchise....

Quote:
“I just think that The Patriot Way is a fear-based organization,” Johnson said. “Obviously, do they win? Hell yes, they win. They’ve won for a long time. Do I think people enjoy and can say, ‘I had a lot of fun playing there’? No, I don’t. That’s just the God’s honest truth. “They’re successful, but when they go to interviews, they act like (expletive) robots. Hey, stop being a (expletive)head. We can be cordial for a little bit. You only get to do this job one time, so let’s have fun while we’re doing it. Not to be reckless, but I‘d much rather have fun and win a Super Bowl than be miserable and win five Super Bowls. But hey, it is what it is.”

https://nesn.com/2018/02/eagles-lane-jo ... -patriots/
The author notes: Two of Johnson’s current Eagles teammates — defensive end Chris Long and running back LeGarrette Blount — are former Patriots. Hmmm....

1. There is no clubhouse in football, it’s a locker room.
2. Mike Wallace is now my favorite ex-Steeler.
3. Wallace hasn’t been a Steelers player for 5 full seasons. Digging pretty deep to find this insignificant nugget.
4. I’m as hard on Tomlin as anyone. He did nothing wrong here. Players have a lot of media requests. They don’t need to field every one. If you’re mad at Tomlin for not making Wallace issue a formal PC public apology to plus-sized journalists everywhere, I can’t help ya.

Now that may be the greatest understatement in the history of understatements.

True....Madden, Kaboly, King all Fat Fucks.

But remember, there's a difference between just being an ordinary fat fuck, and being recognized as "The Fat Fuck....._____(insert name)."

Different era I guess. I think this is why I am losing interest in the nfl. I kind of find it disturbing, not Tomlins answer, but Wallace even calling him a fat fuck in front of Tomlin. To me it shows a huge lack of respect and disipline which plays out on the field every week.

Sure, because calling someone a fat fuck to their face is a real classy way to conduct oneself.

The issue here isn't wanting to blow off the interview, it's the immaturity and lack of professionalism that points to other underlying problems.

No clue if this is true or not, if it is, pretty disgusting behaviour by wallace and especially Tomlin, wouldnt be surprised one bit if it was true though.
