I think if you're looking for a ST guy, who adds depth and energy at LB, it's not a terrible pick. Not a high pick, obviously, but in the 5th or later? I mean, last year one of those guys was Colin Holba, for fucks sake.

Your right Dan. The missle, hit or whiff.

All I will say is the kid has dominated people who have underestimated him. Go and look at that Auburn game- the kid flat dominated that game. 12 Tackles 1.5 sacks and the pressure that led to an interception- he was everywhere. They ran at him then away from him rolled away from him chipped him- didn't matter. The dude was wrecking gameplans all year. I think based on our need if we get this kid in the 3-4th it will be a steal. But honestly after the show he's putting on at the combine some team is taking this kid late 2nd or early 3rd way before it lines up for us.

Still not interested. With this teams glaring needs a ST's demon is not high on the to do list. JMO

That's the floor-- immediate STs contributor.

He's more likely to be in Honey Badger-Telvin Smith territory. Where did those guys go in the draft? (3.69 & 5.144).

The guy is a force of nature. All over the field. Can cover the pass including the TE. Wants to prove himself. Loves contact, my kind of guy.

I like him. I don't think he is just a "feel good story". I like the honey badger comparison.

I've seen a number of the kids UCF games. He can flat out play, hand or no hand.

If you watch him play, you can't even tell he is missing a hand. He's not a sad sap feel good story. Those who haven't seen him play may just assume he is a feel good story. They'd be wrong. And come on guys....a prosthetic? That's not going to do him any good on a football field and I guarantee he'd want no part of it.

C'mon man, don't you think the wooden hand from happy gilmore would come in handy??? He could tee up the football during high wind with it.

I think he fits as a purely rush OLB. Seems like you can't really drop him into coverage.

6 - 27 - 2

You mean the Shaqeem Griffin who had 6 INTS, 27 Pass breakups, 2 pick 6s, and 4.38 speed? That Griffin can't be trusted in coverage?

My point exactly in my earlier post....... Those who haven't watched him play assume certain things like..he is a feel good story...needs a prosthesis.......couldn't possible cover or catch the ball.

I actually would worry about him more close to the line of scrimmage than in coverage. The NFL lineman he will face are much faster and stronger than anything he's ever seen. His athleticism gap will be closed and they will know how to use their hands.

Hand fighting is one of the most important things a LB can do. I see him severely hampered at the next level.

If the dude is excelling now, he's got as good a shot as anyone else. I know a hand seems important, but it's crazy what comes naturally to compensate. I do think it'd be cool if he held the ball with a wooden hand during kicks when it got blown off the tee.

Good post B2B. He's better than those busts we've drafted in the past like JJ.

in all honesty that 4.38 seemed kinda fishy to me, like the clock stopped a whisker too soon, go back and look at it..imho i think hes closer to his 2nd 4.50ish time

They showed the video overlay with his twin brother who ran exactly the same time... they looked identical on that run.

There's on in here with Griffin vs Julio Jones, one vs. Saquon. Time looks legit.
