Steelers signing LB Jon Bostic to a two-year deal, per source.

Oh well, about what we all expected. With the money they have to spend and not wanting to commit to a long-term solution just yet (Shazier recovery?), Bostic represents a true Steelers' solution, in how they do business. He's cheap, smart and a leader, with average abilities.

solid signing, good value. Add him with a young ILB in the first 3 rounds.

So... not only is this underwhelming it affects what would have been a decent compensatory pick for Hubbard and Steeler Nation can now meet the new Arthur Moats... ah I mean Jon Bostic. Yay! :|

Yeah, classic placeholder signing, and as I said to Greek... "Better than Sean Spence and Dirty Red".

In the meantime.... Jets signed LB Kevin Pierre-Louis to a two-year, $6 million contract.

Oh, I am just plain sick over that. If they signed Pierre-Louis for similar $$ to what Bostic got, I'm going to be beside myself. KPL is someone who could have been the long-term starter.

I know the name but don’t know anything about his game.

I guess if he’s better than dirty red and Spence at least it’s an improvement.

Timmons probably wanted too much money for a declining skill set. Bostic is a stopgap until a new draftee is ready.

I loved Bostic coming out, but I’m not sure he’s the ideal stopgap for a draft pick. For Shazier, maybe. He’s much more talented than your scrap heap signing. The biggest question is health. If he’s not reliable, he can’t fulfill the stop gap role.

7 Days a week and 3 times on Sunday I would take Bostic over KPL...IF Bostic is healthy he will be a very solid signing

This mitigates the chances the Steelers take that future piece of shit bust LVE

Just hasn't been healthy, which is why I say that. Was much higher on Bostic coming out than KPL-- but Bostic has kind of faded last couple of years.

Kind of? Look at the stats. Since 2013 Bostic has a total of 3 sacks. 3! Now I guess it can be said it's the way the talent is implemented. Ok. He's only played one full season. His rookie season. 2015 was a down season for Bostic. 2 tackles. Dude missed an entire season. I assume injury. Why pay a injury prone LB'er? 7 passes defensed. Has played 54 games. 240 tackles and 1 INT. Talk about bargain shopping at the bottom of the scrap heap. Not a very impressive signing. I'd say drafting an ILB in the 1st or 2nd RND's will still happen.

KPL is facing a THC possession court case...Steelers likely scared off.

I think FC is right on here. Bostic signing reduces the need to reach for or an inside linebacker. Highest rated safety on their board can now be the sprint to the podium pick at 28. But man I pity FCs tv if the Steelers draft LVE or worse trade up for him.

Bostic played on 1 year contract for Colts last year for $690k ?
The 2 year contract he signed with Steelers can't be much.

All due respect to my man FC.....but Bostic is hot garbage. 5th team in 5 years says something if not everything. We shall see what becomes of LVE, i would love him as our 1st rnd pick though, however i doubt he'll even be there at 28.

The Colts might have had the worst LB crew in the nfl and we have 2 of their scrubs. in spence and bostic. Is he an improvement on what we have in house right now to replace Shazier, sure but then thats a seriously low threshold.

Spence is gone now. Bostic is a good pickup. I think Sutton will surprise people at free safety. I think we draft best player available in round one then LB and safety with a chance to learn while playing special teams.

And I wouldn't mind Timmons at the minimum to compete with Williams.
