Most folks posting on this discussion board agree Tomlin's lack of discipline has contributed to many avoidable locker room and on the field issues that have proved detrimental to the team's success. No, doesn't mean Tomlin sucks. Just means Tomlin is who he is. That said, Always room for improvement.

A "players coach" that has numerous locker room and off-field problems sucks at his job.

I don't get everyone being so hell-bent on the Patriots cheating. The Giants twice (!) showed the only way to beat Brady.

How hard is it to repeatedly own a guy that took a decade to realize you must play man against the Patriots' fleet of midget receivers?

Tomlin is a fucking bum.

I think there's a large gulf between Belichick and bum. No matter what you think of Tomlin, he resides somewhere on the positive side of that gulf. He has warts, but he has some positives, as well. Just like Bill Cowher before him, who was also owned by Brady and Belichick.

A bit ironic that James Harrison says Aviators needs to be more disciplined, when he was the biggest discipline problem last season... :lol:

Yep, and all that history of the James Harrison Discipline Cancer certainly absolves Tomlin of all blame...

</sarca>

...but seriously folks...

Harrison got cut because he was vocal in pointing out the bullshit for what it was, and "Supreme Leader" Tomlin couldn't handle that kind of insubordination. :roll:

Obviously...

It's not necessarily coaching. The way he described it was more like a play was called by the green dot, and then before the play, Mike Mitchell called something different for coverage.

I mean, at that level of football, there are a lot of moving parts to a D, unless you're playing a ton of man with a vanilla 4 man rush. Which the steelers weren't.

I interpreted what he said as: the playcalls and adjustments the Steelers were trying to use exceeded the capabilities of the players being asked to communicte, adjust, and execute the calls.

You can ask Tomlin and Butler to dumb things down, or you can clear out guys who were not communicating and executing. They seem to have chosen the latter.

No- he described it as two different playcalls coming in from the sideline, B2B.

Nah...Bruce Arians’ fault, Dick LeBeau’s fault, Todd Haley’s fault, Mike Mitchell’s fault...
Never, ever, EVER Mike Tomlin’s fault!!!

Never Art2’s fault. It’s starts and ends there. Robert Kraft has more gumption in his big toe. Where Art2 Thou?

You'll get back to us after the Patsies have been hamstrung by The Kraft Rule, right?

...feet be riddled with bullet holes... :cry:

No one argued that.

No, Harrison was cut because he wouldn't accept a reduced role in the defense and he wouldn't adapt to changes in the defensive scheme. He wasn't "vocal" so much as he was disruptive and/or didn't show up:
Quote:
Dupree said Harrison would leave the stadium as soon as he found out he was inactive the past four or five weeks, often didn’t practice or attend meetings and rarely would come in the locker room. Said he wouldn’t visit Ryan Shazier in hospital, either

Quote:
Among ways Harrison tried to get himself out of Pittsburgh, one team source said Harrison was known to sleep in a recliner chair during position meetings and snore loudly while Joey Porter would teach.

...based on the re-tweeted words of that hapless wannabe-Harrison-but-couldn't-hold-his-jockstrap Dupy and "one team source"?!

:roll:

Look, post quotes of all the he said/he said you want, it doesn't change the fact that the whole Harrison mishandling was as much (probably more so) Tomlin's fuck up as anybody else's! :evil:
</rant>

There is no "he said/he said". Several teammates shared those stories and Harrison never denied any of it. Also that is not a "fact", that is your (unsubstantiated) opinion.
