Dumbass.

Didn't the Jets realize he is both a RB and a WR and should have paid him twice?

He may be making less per year but the guaranteed portion of the deal is what mattered to him. How much guaranteed did the Steelers offer?

Steelers offered $33M guaranteed in first 2 years. He would have made that by now.

Jets gave him $35M guaranteed. structure uncertain, but verrrry incremental... plus no more Pouncey and DeCastro

I think the majority of posters here made this call last season after the fuck nut didn't show up to play ball. Serves him right for being a dick. He lost the 14.5 last year and he would have already made 33 million by the time next season kicks off. I am glad he lost this bet.

You must keep in mind: this is only his RB contract. When he gets his WR contract, the numbers go way up!

And don’t forget cost of living. To own a house in NYC metro area is insanely expensive. The property taxes are insane. A $600,000 to $700,000 house in NYC metro area will cost one about $20,000 per year in property taxes in West Chester county for instance. This gets you a moderate house of about 2500 to 3000 square feet.

His burn rate on monthly expenses just took a hit. When he tries to get his Pittsburgh equivalent in living conditions his jaw will drop.

He needed a severe cost of living bump to go with his $15,000,000 he lost last year to even come close to breaking even with his Jets contract. You may laugh at cost of living bump and think it is pennies for him, but it will be significant. He has to hang with the Jones, and it won’t be nearly as cheap as hanging with Jones in Moon Township or Upper St Clair. His monthly burn rate will sky rocket.

Adisa, I thought it was going to be more money and fame! He and his agent are complete fools. Le’Veon Bell just lost the equivalent of $20,000,000. Of course Adisa will take his cut and won’t be relocating. Adisa is a snake oil salesman. Adisa, what is this bill for 5,000,000 in taxes?

A fool and his money soon part!

*Steelers lose one of the game's premier running backs.

*Team that signs him doesn't pay all that much.

How exactly is this a triumph??

While it's fun to enjoy this idiot not getting the money he thought he was going to get, this is actually bad news for Steelers. He's not getting us a 3rd round comp pick with that contract. Foles, Z Smith, Collins, Moseley, Flowers, Mathieu, T Brown all got bigger deals. I believe Foles will count as he opted out of his deal. Then there's other guys kike Preston Smith and likely Earl Thomas that will have similar deals. The NFL isn't handing out 10 3rd round comp picks.

Was hoping the market would tank on him enough for us to sign him back.

*Bell's replacement made the Pro Bowl in his first season as a starter.

*All of Bell's numbers in 2017 were worse than his numbers in 2016.

*He's a 27 year old back with a ridiculous amount of wear and tear on his body.

*Ain't no Decastro and Pouncey clearing the way for him in NY.

Bell's replacement fumbled away two wins.

Question remains...another team signed him for not huge money. How is this a triumph for Steelers?? What exactly did they win?

Maybe "win" is the wrong word. I think this makes the Steelers more justified in their offer and the position they took with Bell. Many folks said they were cheap and should just "pay the man" and that going to command Gurley money (or more). That obviously was not the case and the Steelers were right.

Bell was all about the money, left his team for an entire season over it, and fucked himself hard. Walked away from 14.5mm last year and signed a lesser contract than he had been offered from us. Fuck him.

They won by not having to pay the least explosive RB in the entire NFL anywhere near big bucks.

Lazy-on had 321 carries in 2017 and only 3 of those runs went for over 20 + yards.

The days of 18 play drives died with Bettis. At least I hoped they did.

Yeah, no more sloth-like Bettis Bullshit from Lazy-on.

Let's see how that patient running style looks without Pouncey, Decastro and Foster.

Let's see how valuable Lazy-on looks catching passes from Sam Darnold.

With incentives pushes his deal to 61 mill coming out about 16 per.

My hope is he hits none of the extra and he fouls in obscurity for the remainder of his career.

Yes I do also hope he breaks his fucking leg along with AB also. Fuck them both.

I'm actually hoping a video of AB surfaces, doing some really bad shit. There has to be one out there somewhere...

Because we’ve already shown we can replace his production with a cheaper tandem of Connor/Samuels.

RBs, even pass-carching RBs like Bell, are commodities, not premium players, Swiss.

If CJ Anderson stepping right in for Todd Gurley didn’t prove that to you...nothing will.

excellent points Jeemie -but swiss is trolling, so your logic will fail no matter how good it is

I'm legitimately glad that the Steelers won't be on ESPN every week due to Brown & Bell. (Not that I watch)

Ripped 2 bandaids off in one offseason. That has to be a relief for players focused on actual football.
