Seems he has a history of poor footing/ slipping on slick surfaces. Team is being cautious, having flashbacks of the original clank and his lis franc.

In other words...just the type of player you want playing half his games at Heinz Field...

It seems the article seems to be speculation.

So there's absolutely no reason to be calling him "Clank" then, right?

I believe the clank comment comes from his questionable hands

This has to be some kind of mild injury/tightness or there's some kind of contractual snafu that needs to be ironed out.

I find it hard to believe he's not practicing because of a history of slipping.

But worst part to me, if he has enough of a history slipping that it's noticeable....wtf kind of pick is this.

Well, my first thought was what Jeems stated above. If what they are saying can be taken at face value, that'd be a helluva thing for a team with a field like Heinz to contend with. Hopefully teh sumbitch doesn't have Clank's feet to go along with his hands.

He WAS held out, and that is the reason the team gave, but this doesn't really bother me. I'm pulling for Switzer to lock down the #3 WR position.

Switzer's snaps will be far, far less than last season.

That is, IF he makes the team.

That's not a bad "longshot" bet. Eli Rogers could easily end-up the fifth receiver, and part of the reason they took Johnson was probably because of Switzer's fuck-ups on returns (not that he did a whole lot when he did return it).

But with so many question marks at WR, and the fact you don't have AB to return if you need him....means Switzer probably has the team made. Then it will be up to Eli to make them carry 6 receivers - IF they cut DHB.

Question is, are you going to give Switzer a hat when he's not playing ST? Same goes for Eli. Last year you dress 5(?), but Switzer and DHB are playing teams.

It’s officially the offseason so these non-stories are what we get to look forward to discussing. Yawn. I’m much more worried about the idea of a couple of total JAGs named Switzer and Rogers getting significant playing time next season than a rookie being held out of “team” drills at rookie training camp. Whatever the hell that even is...

I don't think DHB is with the team anymore? And Eli Rogers started pulling Colclough's last time he was on punts.
I beleive the Switzinator is going to pick back up where he left off last season before the ankle. This may keep Samuels on the bench unfortunately, cause I believe Snell is gonna command some carries here and there. Dude has a little Gary Russell in him, and should be the short yardage/goal line dude day one.

Switzer is garbage and adds zero value to the roster. Sooner he's turked the better.

Incidentally, same with Anthony Chik fil A and Matakevich.

You guys kill me. It’s as if you don’t even know this organization. Switzer is a lock...L-O-C-K, lock to make this team.

Doesn't change the fact that he's a turd that looks like Cheddar Bob's dumber cousin.

who cares if Steelers Depot reported it - I don't give a fuck if it was Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein reporting

the FACT IS -- the rookie was HELD OUT of practice on the very first day for rookies.

Read into what you want, but none of it is GOOD

I'd like to see that he actually has questionable hands for us before giving him a crappy nickname.

I could have swore DHB had been let go.
