Like another quote said. It's a nice thought in May that Deebo will only play 20 snaps. But if these other guys start getting their asses kicked in the run game, or dinged up, things could easily end up like last year again. It's nice to get the young guys reps, but not at the cost of winning when you have a vet that can still completely shut down the run game on his side of the center.

Can’t sleep - took a trip down memory lane. Interesting reading knowing what we know now. FC and the Clemson guy nailed Dupree.

And I'm pretty sure they both said Shazier sucked. Especially the Clemson guy. I'm positive of that. It's a 50/50 proposition for even the very worst prognosticators.

I still hope the Steelers do not opt for the 5th year with this disappointment.

I don't mean to sound so entrenched or surly-- my thinking is: with a placeholder like Moats, you can't get your #1 pick to replace him fast enough. With a proven guy who was your best defender last year, and is stronger and in better shape than anyone else... Someone has to outplay that guy to win the job. You don't take deebo's job by decree, sorry. What exactly has Jarvis or anyone else done to take that job?

:D interesting aging of this post lol

Shazier struggled anytime he faced a quality team or opponent.

I had Shazier 96th on my top 100 board...I believe Shazier's fit in the draft is where the Steelers drafted Dri Archer.

I concede another shitty GM like Kevin Colbert would have reached for Shazier

Shazier does not play fast when he is asked to

Take on blocks
Read and React

Despite his timed speed Shazier does not play fast against the run

shazier does not play fast.

I'll take a guy with elite tools. I like the high ceiling pick.

Agree and he has Joey and Deebo to learn from.

Man, this didn’t work out the way Jack had hoped
