said that this was the first time Miami had their OL together and they are good
it was warm and the defense was on the field to long couldn't get their Rest( That the D fault)
and also the dolphins were a pissed off team because all the players were called out man to man the week leading up to this matchup.

I listened to the game on XM yesterday and heard this.

I was thinking, about Miami all week and what's been going on. You're spot on steelman. And further detail.

The HC switched back to one main back, after trying a 2-4 man committee early in the year.
The HC cut the 2 OL men who were playing for injured starters, those starters came back in yesterday
The media down there has been all over them for a terrible start
More media scruntity on the QB Tannehill, who has had our number in the past
The point spread,
Miami was a wounded animal and they do have good skill positions amid a terrible secondary.

Lastly, Tomlin's road records against the dregs. And our injuries

It certainly lined up as a bad matchup with the results we got.

So this means we don't show up and get annihilated??!!

That defense got more than abused and there wasn't one bright spot out there.

There is no play making ability on defense and if our O doesn't control the ball most of the game and keep our D off the field we have zero chance against a good offense. This is the worst pass rush in all of football.

It would also be nice if one of these young players could give us a spark....ever. Fucking Davis or Burns are allowed to make one stinking play, holy shit.

When you have Matkevich Chickillo Jervis on the field at the same time, you are going to give up yards and scores. That is not an NFL caliber LB set, period.

They keep going back to on any Given Sunday but can't explain the last 16 road games against sub 500 Teams. Wolf also said that Haley will work a game plan on doing what LJ does best.

The one good point is they don't have a Pass rush to win one on one battles

but these are the guys we left with because of injuries but expect for Chick and JJ who got the start even though IMO neither should be starters the others like Big red came in later after Williams left the game.

Uncalled for.

I watched both VW and Matkevich all game. VW was hot garbage and tackling like CB Blake '15 when he wasn't running to the wrong hole. Then he ran off to the powder room for some Midol and a hot water bottle. Matakevich isnt a heat seeking missile but he was in the right position to make plays and lead the team in tackles and for a behind LOS tackle or two. The rookie did ok in my book.

Jervis is Jervis.

Chick will be in the league for a long time unless his body breaks down early.

Stan first statements they were pushed around and out Physical.
They should have not lost to an Inferior team and he said no matter how many decent players Miami has they Stink.
he also said the run defense even missing Cam no one stepped up
Bashed JJ as a player who can't stop the run and can't rush the passer called him brutally Bad.
He also said it clearly the team did not look ready to play again ,and tomlin needs to change it up
Playcalling especially on that 3rd and one why not put the ball in Bell hands instead of Jones.
Also said Jones is 26 and still has that deer in the headlights look still.

Stan has lost the gift of gab if he evr had it. As we all heard. Gate shook up the Fins and they were loaded or bear. They were in playoff mode.

A few players are always ready. Plenty weren't prepared AGAIN!!!! and walked off the plane expecting a participation trophy with a W on it.

As the leadership of the team, if you can't plan ahead far enough for something as fundamental as having your 20 something man child players properly hydrated for three hours in the Miami sun then something is very wrong here. Especially since you make millions a year for a billion dollar operation.

I agree the lacked of being ready is underwhelming.
stan calling out JJ and Tunch comes on and makes some excuses but his is a good at analysis but does not say anything negative.
Tunch did tell Stan the Miami Ol is better than the Line the steelers will face vs NE

Williams was awful but flashed the last two games. My point is our depth in that position, and in a few others, is dreadful. The injuries caught up with us yesterday but we did nothing to combat what continued to work over and over and over again for the Phins.

We have a litany of guys on the defense that are at best PS players on other teams.

I think we'd struggle to find a worse positional group in the NFL than the Steelers LBs and specifically our OLBs. Wow have times changed.

We were getting killed with Vince Williams on the field too.

...and Jervis is a starting OLB.

stan called out
Ben stating even before the knee he made some bad Decisions.
Mitchell for his two stupid Personal foul penalities with his big mouth and said he not that good to do that and when will Tomlin address that.
Gay rare bad game but he needs to keep that coverage on the play he lost his man and had a Drop for an Interception.
Matthews and Hargaves both Manhandled in the running game.( I tweeted stan to ask why we didn't see more of Big Dan )
VW showed why he is a backup
Jordan berry had a bad game too

But that's the point Barney. What's on paper doesn't win you games. Sure, when healthy we are a very strong team, but injuries are a certainty in this league, and in recent times VERY certain for the steelers, including to our star players and our young guys drafted to make a difference.

Mix in suspensions and you have a recipe for disaster. We all said this team would be in serious trouble if the injuries started piling on; well here we are.

That is what pisses me off royally about yesterday. Phins made every attempt to give us room for a comeback and we fucked the pooch. We win yesterday I don't give a rats ass what happens against the Cheats; but now we are looking at 4-3 going into bye week which pisses me off. 5-2 soooooo much better than 4-3.

Ravens and Cincy have big time issues too. Misery loves company.
