He stated he'd been working through groin issues for a few weeks...but it's never been in an injury report.

Let's see if this is a gray area (i.e. If he hasn't received any treatment, there's no violation of league reporting rules) or if it blows up like Richard Sherman's hidden injury.

I stated this an hour ago. Steeler's should be docked a pick and fined, because you know.......... If he was injured and we didn't disclose it, they need to pay the price.

Tomlin is a fucking asshole idiot.

If he got dinged in KC, then by all means........let the hammer fall. Maybe it's best to out Tomlin more on his sheer stubborness and stupidity. Sheer cockiness on display from Brown, we thought he was playing a different game..............NOPE, same sheer stupidity.

He hasn't missed any practice, non issue. The only reason to list him would be if there was a chance he would have missed a game. This is what happens when you get rid of the probable tag - guys who otherwise would've been listed are not.

sometimes you need to move the antenna, and sometimes the picture starts to clarify all by itself...

If this shit goes south, let's hope it's ASAP, so this ASSHAT LIABILITY can get gone and we can start ramping up for next season...

This team is just about at the sweet spot right now, and Ben's window is sliding shut...

The Touissant dressing over Ayers sure shows they knew he was hurt prior to the game.

Conflicting reports from Bell, saying he was hurt pre-game, and second play of game. Also he covered it up.

Given that it's a passing league, and Ben didn't look as good this year as a game manager on a run-first team....and given that Bell again broke down late in the year....and given Tomlin will "run the wheels off"...

Anyone having second thoughts about big money to Bell? I'm thinking franchise tag is the way to go. Bell may be the best player in the league, but he's literally not going to carry this team to a championship.

I was never on board with throwing a shitload of cash at Bell. Find a reasonable way to sign him...sure, but don' t get ridiculous. He's a RB, and RBs are notorious for breaking down suddenly and quickly, especially with the heavy workload this guy gets. On top of that, he's two kinds of unreliable.
And for the record, he is not the best player in the league! We saw that guy yesterday...repeatedly shoving a football, which may or may not have been deflated, up the Steelers defense asses!

But Steel 40 tells us Bell was ready to EXPLODE all over those Patriot assholes...and if he hadn't gotten injured, we would have won.

I'm probably wrong but I would wager healthy bell yesterday woulda been corralled like brown and had 60 yards in the ass whipping; that wouldn't have looked much different..
id franchise him too..noway I sign him long term now..

Counting yesterday as just about a full game....Bell has now missed (just about) 4 out of 6 playoff games. This is early Pouncey career territory. He was labeled a lot of things.

Hard to get on the kid, seeing how dejected he was and the extent to how he was used....but man.

If you're going to pay large percentages of your cap to a handful of guys....they HAVE to play. They HAVE to produce.

Why can't these guys ever just shut the fuck up? Always have to be saying something. They love to hear themselves talk. Keep that shit to yourself.

Let's see if this is a gray area (i.e. If he hasn't received any treatment, there's no violation of league reporting rules) or if it blows up like Richard Sherman's hidden injury.

I saw this on another location (si.com I think) where he admitted he had been dealing with it for weeks, and it made me raise an eyebrow.
You wouldn't think it with close to 400 yards rushing in two games, so it couldn't have been *that* bad. I think it was probably something very minor that became something big.
It would be insult to injury that he aggravated a known injury at the worst possible time, against a team that plays games with the injury report like no other team, and we get penalized for not reporting it.

Bell racked up 29 carries in a BLOWOUT win vs Mia. Dwill had 2

Ben kind of stated that Bell had this nagging injury all along. We've never reported him on the Inj Report.

I expect us to lose a draft pick like Seattle.

I don't see how you would get that from this. Just needs to be smarter. If they didn't disclose it during the week then there's no point to talking about it afterwards other than to justify why he wasn't in the game and effectively useless to the team. Nothing good comes out of it except to save face.

This is a problem. He was also much less effective late in the KC game but if they pulled him out in a close game they have to then admit he is hurt and that apparently was not happening.

We do what we do we run the wheels off our RB and don't sweat any details

That is absolutely sickening.

Also curious is that when Bell went out early in the Pats game, D-Will, exclusively, was used the rest of the game.

Why in the fuck did Toussaint dress? The guy isn't even good enough to spell D-Will for a carry or two?

I don't know. You don't report every bump and bruise on the injury report.

"Probable" means 75% chance of playing. If it's 100% or close that he plays and he's practicing, why would he be on the injury report for a nagging minor strain?

non issue..he played. everyone is hurt that plays somewhere at this time of year..my question? did he get dinged-strained vs Miami game while tomlin was running his wheels off like he enjoys doing? and if he did it weeks earlier; why was tomlin abusing the man instead of pulling him with the game decided?

Seems DK has the goods on Bell's missed practices. He flew to CA for his child's birth.

Quote:
Mark Kaboly, DK Pittsburgh Sports, reported that Leveon Bell flew to California for the birth of his child mid-week, which is why Bell was excused from practice Thursday. Bell kept the details from the media because he thought it would cause a NY Giants style "boat trip" distraction.
The Kaboly story is behind the DK paywall but here is Tim Benz on Dk Sports Radio talking about it: scroll to [Happy Hour: Benz on Bell's injury] https://soundcloud.com/dkpittsburghsports
