Which..., turns out to be $6Mil more than I had read about a couple days ago. If accurate. That's more wiggle room than I thought.

Mitchell or Haden next year will be almost a wash....hopefully Haden works out, otherwise those two alone are nearly $14.5M.

I don't see PIT having to make any major moves next year, outside of Bell (assuming Tuitt gets done). Won't be anyone significant they HAVE to extend next year, and if they need a few bucks they'll only be cutting declining, overpaid vets.

Mitchell is an 8.1 if he stays and 1.7 if he goes...

Together Mitchell and Haden are 20M to stay and 5.5 to go.

Which makes it $14.5M in savings, like I said (although, technically, $1M less than that with two guys making around minimum).

#Steelers created cap space, restructuring DE Cam Heyward’s contract, source said. Was a cap hit of $10.4M, created more than $3M in room https://twitter.com/RapSheet/status/905534813637144576
This could be the final step in getting Tuitt's extension done this week. Some of you called it. Restructuring seems to be the Steeler way. Pay That Man!

Ray Fittipaldo seems to think so as well. http://www.post-gazette.com/sports/stee ... 1709060183

They signed Polamalu at a Baltimore hotel the night before the 2011 season opener.
