It's interesting. Normally it might smell like tampering, but given the hurricane displaced him I think there's a very valid exception in this case.

And the reason a tampering charge would be extraordinarily dumb is because a former team doesn't have to do anything nearly as blatant as bringing him into a practice, they can just pick-up the phone....

I initially agreed with you. But then I started thinking....does your profession have tampering rules?

My guess is this would preclude the steelers from signing him if dolphins cut him (if they even wanted to)...under threat of tampering investigation.

He should've pouted and pushed an assistant coach on dolphins sideline. Then got cut. Then sign with Pitt (if Pitt wanted him).

wonder if the toker legarrette blount visited pats before he left sidelines early.. we coulda used Timmons last week when bears were abusing our defense.
