I wish I could say I'm surprised.

Perfect example of why it continues to be a struggle to have even a little faith in this guy.

There is absolutely no reason to defer heading into OT.

And shame on Ben if he didn't immediately question that nonsense.

If he comes to these conclusions on the most basic of decisions it's no wonder this team appears to be a rudderless ship time and again.

Maybe the article and quotes by Ben are bogus.

I think this shit for brains coaching staff is driving Ben towards retirement as much as anything else in his life.

Ben didn’t play particularly well Sunday, but give him the damn ball and let him win the game like he’s done before.

It's the gut! Tomlin doesn't make decisions based on odds or probabilities....screw your fancy math.

That is stupid, with the dumb NFL OT rules, a team gets lucky and runs back a kick it's over. You always take the ball 1st in NFL OT given the choice.

I prefer college OT, fairer and better entertainment.

Didn't get a chance to stand beside Ben and the offense pre game guess he figured OT was as good time as any to make up for it. Unreal.

My thoughts exactly. He knows we lost on the sidelines as much as we did on the field in that championship game debacle.

Anyone catch the "Football Life" on Troy Aikman?

I was sipping a beer while waiting for some Thai food to go. NFL Network was on and was at the part that covered the Switzer years.

Was quite interesting. Said Switzerland was in no way like the coach he was back in college and just buddies up to the players. Would not discipline or even come down on them in practice or during games.

Troy said he had to take on that role and it wore on him a lot. Here was a clip of him coming off the field cussing his head off at another coach about Switzer "not coaching or doing shit" something along those lines.

Said that he more to do with his retirement than the concussions. Could have kept playing but was not going to keep playing for Switzer.

Tomlin will spend a day in the forest lookin for trees. They be round here somewhere. At least that is what my gut says.

Anyone in the gutless media going to ask the "coach" about this?

That's.....VERY interesting.

Of course, Switzer was out after '97, and Aikman retired in 2000.....so, um, maybe the concussions were more serious than he remembers!
