Not at all happy to say "told you so". I went as far as suggesting Rogers was a guy they should cut before the season (he had already graced milk cartons with his presence by then). If you're a JAG catching balls from Ben, then you probably aren't actually good enough to play in the NFL.

JuJu, Ayers and AB in the slot.....then you roll AB, Bryant, Coates and Hunter outside. What could have been [Sigh]

There isnt anyone id cut for Ayers for a couple of reasons.

1. Might be the slowest timed WR in the nfl 4.72/4.66
I get that 40 speed isnt everything but those are outlier bad. Particularly when your 5"9 185ish.

2. You dont go outta your way to put in the press you wont sign on the PS a week before cut down day when your a 7th rd pick. Particularly on a team that might be the best in the nfl at developing low end talent longterm. Doubly so when the team would seem to only be committed longterm to 2 outta 6 WRs. A 1 or 2 year PS apprenticeship and your looking at a starters role at the 3WR spot possibly and at the very least a 4/5/6 role who knows the team and the system.

3. He just wasnt that good at anything. He made a few plays in preseason. He is a borderline player who shoulda jumped at the chance for PS pay which is considerable and PS development

I guess you have to include Brown in this....but otherwise we haven't had a good punt OR kick returner in YEARS.

Pretty sure Davenport was our best kick returner over the past decade and a half or so. Colclough and Ike Taylor were terrifying as punt returners. I remember stressing like a motherfucker everytime we forced a punt, wishing they would just run away from the ball.

Other than that, Mrs. Lincoln, how was the play?
