No need to put in any extra work with the offense running like a Ferrari.

Getting back Gilbert tuitt and watt is like drawing a royal flush this week.

I think missing Gilbert was a major but overlooked factor in bears game

Agreed Stosh. Everyone on offense needs to be practicing, reps, blocking, all of it.

My guess is part of Ben's (not) retiring has played a role in his mid-week sabbaticals. More like a part-time consultant now with one foot out the door.

Seriously, both Ben AND Bell get a day off? Bell missed all that time and didn't learn the new packages, so he's probably earned a day off.

I think Ben gets that day off about every week. This would probably be one of those weeks he could use some extra reps.

Every year under Tomlin: this team is on auto-pilot until their backs are against the wall with little margin for error....

Thing is, BR compares himself to a baseball pitcher. He says he's got X amount of throws in him, and using them up in practice is wasting his arm.

He said that.

Any validity to his position?

I noticed that Ben has been missing practices consistently in each of the 4 weeks so far. This is a new trend isn't it? Yet we expect perfection from a guy that doesn't even give the game all his focus and attention. This is why Ben is never included in the same sentences as other decent respected QB's in the league. Great news on Gilbert though. I expected he was going to be out. Line should be vastly improved with Gilbert at RT instead of Hubbard. Tuitt and Watt back are also great news. Defense will be improved. Of course Dupree being limited is a bummer but I feel like Chickillo is a better player on the left side. Martavis should still get a hat but likely no snaps being he missed all week of practice with the illness. Davis is concerning. 2nd season in and dude is already banged up consistently. I agree with FC. There's a difference between playing hurt and playing injured. Perhaps Dupree has difficulty differentiating between the two. Mitchell likely will go. Although who would play instead of Mitchell? Wilcox? I can see Golden playing for Davis? Finney will fill in just fine for Foster.
