Afterwards, Ben Roethlisberger said, "Maybe I don't have it anymore." Asked: What makes you say that? Says, "I'm not playing well enough."

Ben has already retired......when you say that.....Its over

No, Ben, with the pussy woe is me quote.

He is supposed to be the leader of the team.

This had better not be his response to adversity.

I hope the fire is lit and he goes into KC ready to hunt bear.

I'm also laughing at AB sucking BR's ass in interviews. I can't remember the last time I saw one guy lick an asshole so enthusiastically. Well, I can, but it's politics. So I'll leave that out.

Yeah, when someone has completely lost confidence in themselves like that how do you justify trotting them out, even if they’re theoretically better than the alternative?

Huh?

I think you’re taking my recent criticism and just lashing out. I’ve never been anti-Ben. I’ve never been anti any steeler. I try to call them as I see them. Opinions may differ but I always want what’s best for the steelers.

What is funny is that this is the first week all year I was starting Roethlisberger in fantasy, and had us winning 30-20 in the score game thread. Thought we were due for a good performance at home.

No, this fucking sucks. 2004 was a magical turning point for this team and it has been one hell of a ride for the past decade plus. Games like today are a huge buzzkill. I probably will avoid radio, ESPN, etc all week and actually try to live a life that doesn't involve sports since I'm sure it's going to be ugly. I'm thankful in a way I've got plans next Sunday and will be away, because I'm obviously not optimistic going into KC. There's no f'n gloating.

I don't want to sound too much like an apologist. Ben was really unlucky today. Second interception is tipped hard right to a LBer. That is picked maybe 5% of the time. Third interception Brown gets his hands on it but safety knocks it down from behind. Once again, straight into a defender. Not picked often. Fourth interception -- receiver is tripped / illegal contacted. Even the first one was a poor effort by McDonald.

Nothing burger.

Witnesses there report it was said with a tone that clearly implied snark. He was being facetious.

That's how he sounded when he talked about retirement. I think he has no confidence in the coaches, ESPECIALLY Haley.

I think Ben is still very good. I don't think he any longer has the ability to overcome coaching incompetence.

First he talks about retiring.

Now he talks about not having "it" anymore.

Ben isn't long for the league, sadly.

That's a relief, BUT....I hope the snark wasn't directed at Tomlin who answered a question by saying "Ben didn't play well, ask him."

I mean, although I agree with this take-- the 3rd and 18 throw was a little high. Even though AB got his hands on it and probably catches that most of the time, the slightly high throw gave the CB a chance to make a play. #5 wasn't a great route by AB but, but there was still time left in the game to not have to force it.

This is what I'm talking about......3rd and motherfucking 18 - throw is "a little high but [the BEST RECEIVER IN THE NFL] got his hands on it...."

Fuck you Ben you suck....I'm just not inclined to blame either guy - I blame the offense for putting them in a situation where we need perfection from BOTH of them.

I remember Terry Bradshaw threw 5 picks against the Chargers. He was great the rest of the year. I'm riding with Ben.

Exactly

HaleyBall is essentially this. Call what the fuck ever and hope it works on 1st and 2nd. Routinely put offense in 3rd and long

Pretty much spot on. "whatever" is usually a couple bubble screens.
