I don't think it's drama

He's a quote that's more likely to be true

Occam's razor

I've seen at least one account stating that this was said with a tone clearly indicating that it is in jest. So he was being snarky, thank god.

Nothing burger media will chew on.

Good.

Still, the performance throughout has been unsettling, given the "easy" part of the schedule and having your skill players available.

Listening to his post game interview right now on NFL network radio

Sounds like he's doing his usual post game after a tough day when he plays bad

Deflecting some questions, but ....All down to him playing better

Frustrating day he says

I'm sure this can be scrubbed from newspaper in a little while or th radio

Good thing Tombert had the foresight to draft Dobbs... :?

Ben is going through the motions in a stale offense. He looks disinterested.

Add in his release looks slower. That’s why ball is getting tipped so much and he’s behind receivers.

I read it as Ben taking blame like he typically does.

I also subscribe to your theory. I don't dismiss other theories about "once you start thinking about retirement...."

I still say 90% of the problem is an offense that needs the QB to be almost perfect. Like i've said before, they take shots down the field because Ben WAS one of the best QB's doing that, and it's a crutch for an offense that struggles to manufacture long scoring drives.

Keep in mind, Ben's deep ball HAS not been what it was....but his success rate is still in line with most of the league. He's missed a couple (literally like 2) and had a drop or two....but worth noting most of those throws have been highly contested.

And what's with the half-ass PA? It's the PA-version of the "muddle huddle", "slurry-up" and "pistol".
