Did i hear that right??? Not sure about y'all, but that's incredibly refreshing to hear, & that's with a loss where we got shit punted to the tune of an ass load of points to not so much.

We just destroyed the league's best offense. If my count is right, they were under 10 yards at the half....defense is only going to get stronger with assignments, while the offense works through warts.

Count me as optimistic.

The thing I like most is that Smith only had success after he scrambled. The Steelers did a great job of collapsing the pocket today.

I wish they would demote M Mitchell and promote Wilcox.

It's a bit misleading

Kizer
Keenum
Glennon
Flacco
Bortles
Smith

Today was the first real test at QB and he was missing a few targets. I still think this is the best the secondary's been in quite sometime. If the defense as a whole can play more disciplined (looking at you shazier) the sky is the limit

I hate to be "that guy", but...

rookie DeShone Kizer
backup Case Keenum
backup Mike Glennon
Joe Flacco
Blake Bortles

not exactly a murderer's row of talent there. That said, we rebounded magnificently and shut down a red hot team offensively.

exactly...and teams shredded us running the ball.. no need to pass..and we never had much of a lead for teams to play catch up vs our prevent ! racking up pass yards.. stats are deceiving..that said I do like the pressure I'm seeing.

Yes. Not best of QBs...
But.
Many more passes getting defended.
Many more Contested passes than last few years.

Burns batted down a few.
Shaz a few.
Davis huge breakup.

Lineman / Olbs batting down a pass or two a game is big too.
Cam. Tuit and Watt all have a knack for it.

The pressure is nice, I'm seeing a ton of contested catches & near miss int's as well.

As far as QB's faced, there's 1 truley elite guy on our schedule. And that team is very beatable.

Combination of few things too.
More pressure from front 7
From the three in the middle.

Hoping they learned from over using Cam and Tuit and can keep them fresh.
Tyson and Walton nice rotation of subs.

Same for OLBs... And rotation.
Looked like Chick got some play time along with James.

Dupree needs to turn up the engines.

Stats dont always hold water

Heres what I know

The D looked alot better tackling
The O ran the ball much better
The Steelers got lucky when they had to

Most years those 3 things done consistently ....win a Lombardi
