I used to love watching games that Brian Billick did commentary for a few years ago.

Romo reminds me a lot of him. Very knowledgeable, wasn’t afraid to go into a little depth with his analysis, with just enough personality to make it fun without sounding like a douche.

I've made a LOT of jokes about Romo over the years. But his style is a breathe of fresh air. He comes across as a true fan of the game and sounds like he's having fun.

I think Romo and Trent Green have been the best i have heard. Both see things right away in a play and can describe it to the audience.

He's great. He hasn't been sanitized and dumbed down by the NFL yet, so he calls it like he sees it. Which is refreshing.

That's my biggest fear: NFL or CBS will tell him to have less personality

Anyone catch the Dumb and Dumber reference he made on the one Chiefs KR? "Swim? Swammi? Slippy? Slappy? Swenson? Swanson...Samsonite!!!"

Honestly, I've seen a lot of the games this year and I thought not only is he a great (and maybe the best) commentator but I think he'd make for a decent QB coach in the league.
Romo can make W A Y more money in the commentary booth than as a QB coach. It would be dumb for him to pass up the opportunity to do something like what Strahan did and what Barber tried to do.

My fear is they will tell him to dumb it down and push more of the personal/gossip angles. Gotta forget objectivity and get on board with the official narratives!
