He's going nowhere. Steelers won't give away a guy of his talent so easily (despite their history with Buddy Dial, Santonio Holmes)...particularly if he would have any capability of beating them come January.

It is similar to "won't renegotiate a contract before a year out." You set a line in the sand, and don't budge. It only encourages the behavior.

He’s going nowhere, but that’s not going to prevent teams from calling about him.

It’s the same as Ben was “on the trading block” just because teams were calling about him years ago.

Are you saying Marty is untouchable? Because I don't think so....

If a shit team throws a trade that absolutely makes sense you have to consider it...especially if it's a player for player deal that helps fill a need.

That being said, I don't think they'll move him.

ESPECAILLY to fucking Brady and Co....

That would be stupidity at an epic level

Yes, I’m saying he’s untouchable. Mike Tomlin publicly stated he’s going nowhere. And unlike some teams, our coaching staff and front office work together. There is a 0.0% chance he gets traded. And BTW, no one is going to offer anything more than a third day pick for him regardless.

Yeah, I mean if someone offers a first rounder pick for Bryant you pull the trigger. But no one is offering a big enough deal to get Bryant.

I'm just trying to figure out what all the angst is about. Steelers aren't making that trade unless the Pats are coming with #1s and #2s and even then no one- especially us is going to help them bail out their season. At best MB comes back and realizes his function in this offense and makes the plays when called upon. Worst case, he is deactivated for the rest of the season and we figure out something before the draft. We hold all the cards, why would we make a 2am leaving the club deal with a meth head chick with a cold sore.

To me, it's all about his contract. Costs us rookie salary to hold on to him this year and next, to see if he changes his ways. If he was getting paid "bank", then i think he would def be on the deadline trade block. No reason to cut loose a risk versus reward player that's on the "good" side of the business payroll at the moment. Keep him, cause you never know when injuries will require his number be needed.

Call me optimistic but I'm guessing MB won't be caught again with the herb. His downfall will be manic depression, lack of focus, and a big head.

Insanity. No chance in hell we're offered anything more than a 5th/6th rounder.
