Some talking heads said a mid-round pick would be all that Martavis is worth.....

http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000867553/article/nfl-trade-deadline-one-move-for-each-afc-team

If that's the case then Marty will be here for two more years.

So what do you think is the minimum offer it would take to get Martavis from the Steelers?

I say one of the Browns second round picks in 2018 (they have multiples) or a second pick from one of the non-play-off team would do it. What say you?

High draft pick (#2) + a starter. I wouldn't take anything less.

Just had a text from a friend who said he's hearing a trade to the Eagles for a 4th and it will be announced tomorrow.......no idea the validity but he has some sources within Pittsburgh sports.

Yes, he's worth a mid-round pick, at best. Not going to trade him for that mid-year with nothing behind him.

If he doesn't turn things around in a big way the second half of the year, then, yes, he could be moved before the draft up and through camp.

This is disappointing.

Has to be bs

Eagles don't need another wideout. They have 3 guys producing great numbers, plus ertz who scores every game

Would be a bad move.

Need playmakers for THIS year...not draft picks for next year.

I'm not against moving him to a non-contender. And the idea of getting back an established player rather than a draft choice is enticing.

I can't imagine they'd do this trade straight up. What's Hilton's contract situation?

JuJu is 20 and Eli Rogers has regressed. Ben and Hunter have no fucking clue what the other is doing.

Bryant isn't a headcase and a fucking drama queen. But we aren't deep enough to give up on him yet.

Bryant will either implode or improve. I'm thinking the former. The only thing worse would be seeing the latter...when he is on another team.

Well, we NEED Bryant because, like you said, Rogers and Hunter suck.

Wow. Uncharacteristic from Tomlin. Maybe Bryant really is on the trading block.

Just really surprised to see Tomlin be that direct and harsh.

Hoping MB stays. In '08, Santonio Holmes was sat down for a game after smoking weed in his SUV...came back and was freakin' awesome down the stretch, all the way to the out of this world game-winning catch in the Super Bowl. Bryant is capable of same.

I think it's mainly just a case of "tough love". But very unusual for Tomlin to say something like that publicly.

Trade him for the rights to Anquan Boldin and a 2nd round pick

You CAN'T trade Alien. Our offense can't afford it. Every NFL offense needs an explosive player to threaten the D. We don't have that without Bryant (as annoyed as I am at him).

AB is about the only weapon in that category. Bell is a lot slower this year and lacks explosion in the open field. (I counted at least 3 big plays last night where the old Bell would have broken big gains...instead he was stopped by one guy for 2-3 yards.) Juju makes plays but he's not going to consistently burst away from you. Jesse James is what he is. Good TE but not threatening a D. DHB, Rogers, and Hunter are JAGS.

A Martavis Bryant with his head out of his ass is about the only thing that can really transform this offense at this point in the season. Otherwise, it will be a very plodding and churning O that struggles to score in the red zone.

I'm surprised the Eagles would give that much TBH.

On the the other hand, this is the least I would take for Bryant.
He means more to the offense than a 5th or later. He is still going to get you a few TD's this year.
Those TD's could be determining factors in very important upcoming games.
If a team offers a 3rd, I would be tempted though.

The one or 2 things Santonio wasn't doing tho Swiss was tweeting about his temmates in a negative light, and demanding to be traded...this is way more disruptive and a distraction, your point is well made tho and what wed love to see happen with MB as well.

That was for Martavis to chew on, he is basically saying what he has always said to players

"I will only put up with you until I can replace you"

Essentially I have a guy that ran your routes and worked with the QB and got 193, what are you going to do now, Martavis?
