Lazy.

Ben in 2017, on the road: 4-1, 98/161 for 1283 yards, 256.6YPG, 7.97 YPA, 6TD, 4INT
Last 11 road games, Ben is 9-2, including 14/20 for 221, 3TD, 0INT, 146.0 passer rating vs Colts in Indy.

RECENCY BIAS!!!

Career:
58-40 regular season, 64-43 overall (7th all-time in road wins, 4th all time in road win pct), 63.59%, 134TD/92INT, 88.8 rating (same as this year), 7.61 YPA

brady 91-40 .695, peyton 88-53 .624, montana 65-25 .722, ben 64-43 .598, mcnabb 50-36 .581

Aaron Rodgers would have to 22-5 in his next 27 road games to catch Ben.

Yeah, yeah. We all know Ben struggled on the road in 2015 and 2016.

Considering how highly regarded Rogers is among the all time greats, that stat (bolded above) is pretty telling about how good Ben has really been. Let's hope he ties Montana with a win in Indy this weekend.

Ben is one win behind Drew Brees and two wins behind Marino for 4th place, behind only Brady, Peyton, and Favre. He has three regular season road games remaining.

Record Away
Player W L T
Tom Brady 91-40-0
Peyton Manning 88-53-0
Brett Favre 76-84-0
Dan Marino 66-62-0
Joe Montana 65-25-0
Drew Brees 65-61-0
Ben Roethlisberger 64-43-0
Eli Manning 59-53-0
John Elway 57-62-1
Donovan McNabb 50-36-1

As for 15-16, it wasn't quite as good as he's been, but it also wasn't outrageously bad. Consider also that he had at least 4 games in there where he was injured enough that he shouldn't have played and an unusual number of bad weather games in that period, particularly the Buffalo game where he couldn't seem to grip the ball in a snowstorm. Other than INTs, often from forcing the ball when offense wasn't working, he was actually decent.

10-8, 421/653, 64.5%, 4860, 16-19... 82.86 rat, 7.44 YPA

T. Y. Hilton, Colts best receiver, limited today with groin injury. Big blow if he can't go.

Only if Ben plays better on the road! We should feast on these turkeys, score 40. But hey, I thought the same thing about Bears and they bit us on the ass.

Anything less than a 10 point win would be disappointing

I don't want to "tip our hats".....FUCKING demolish this team

I'll be satisfied with a 1-point win.

And sorry...given history, just can't refer to you as "Barry." How 'bout changing it.

The more I think about it the more I think Tomlin goes conservative this next week. Remember we play two games this upcoming week, Sunday and then Thursday.

Is Tomlin really going to feast on the Colts if we are up say 17-3 and their offense shows no sign of life whatsoever? Probably not. He would be willing to just run the ball, maybe even give Connor/Watson some time and just have a 20-6 final score and move on to Tennessee.

Is Tomlin really going to allow Bell to touch the ball 60 times in a 5 day span? Again, I doubt it.

If it were me I unleash the passing offense. These two games are desperately needed to get back on track, to get several players back on track. There is no tomorrow. We need to just crush these two opponents and get the passing offense pointed in the right direction, and then have nice 10 day rest, our next 'bye' week if you will.

Good points. Hopefully a few more carries for Watson/Conner....and probably see more screens as a substitute for running.

Right  ...I fully expect Lev Bell to have 30+ rushing attempts against the Colts.

We'll lead 20-0 at the half, then turtle to a 23-17 win.

Bell is in such phenomenal shape, though....can definitely see Tomlin testing that 370 carry "threshold". Only way I think he doesn't get there is if he sits the last 2 games because PIT has wrapped-up home field.

Currently, his 16-game pace is 388....but his recent pace would project him close to 430. He had 192 carries his last 8 active games of 2016, which leave him at 386 for the year. With 2 games in 5 days, it would definitely be nice to see him get only 30-40 carries over that span. But I'll take the 'W' and hope he can sit the final 2 weeks.

You are right Scrunge, unleash the passing attack. Bell is already crying that he's being run into the ground. He doesn't want to miss that big new contract. Bring on Connor/Watson. You certainly have this game sniffed out.

Technically, he appears to be crying about the workload in practice...
