Tomlin says he will start practicing this week. Hope he makes it for the Pats. Would be big boost compared to Cooty. Unclear if he will play.

Regarding Haden:

Typically, the Steelers will use a player's first week back to practice with the scout team to test his injury progress. Then they make wait another week. Typically.

Good point Mike. Hope he's a quick healer. Haden says he doesn't need much practice time to be ready to go.

At half speed he is better than most on the roster

Hopefully he plays. 1st or 3rd seeding is on the line

Hope he can go. Only Tuesday & I'm getting crazy. Nothing like big Steeler games with seeding / playoffs on the line.

Practiced and reacclimated, with at least that Browns game under his belt (and you KNOW he, at the very least, has that one circled) for the playoff run is fine by me.

1st or 3rd is a stretch. Even with a loss, we're still a game ahead of Jacksonville for the #2.

I'd rather not risk Haden this week. It's not like a lingering muscle injury where if he re-aggravates it he can rest for the next 3 weeks. Wait until that bone is 100%.

Think that's the smart thing to do, Pabst. Bigger fish to fry down the line.

After watching that last Fuck Fest in the secondary, I'm praying hard.

If we lose this game, #2 seed is still completely within our grasp.

We have games remaining with four win Houston with a woozy Savage at QB and the 0-13 Browns. Win those two and we have the #2 seed...with still an outside shot at #1, as Buffalo will be playing for a playoff spot.

I don’t see us dropping either one of those games.

Maybe Haden and Sutton could rotate the CB spot. There would be less stress on Haden's leg.

He's not coming back this week.

Tomlin says he watching Haden day to day. The Coot has a shoulder injury so that may put him out. Sutton is the man right now.

Any person with more medical knowledge than I feel free to say I’m wrong— but I believe currently available technology allows doctors to scan the bone and determine if it’s 100% healed. No more guessing.

Good point B2B. Tomlin is also looking at the quality of Haden's practice to decide. Whether or not he can keep up with the WRs and tackle.

Wish we had a poster who regularly stayed in Holiday Inn's.

Are Cam and Artie capable of playing Man coverage?

Curious to see how many infuriating ticky tacky DPI calls go against our secondary.

Those can be real game changers. Hope the refs stay out of it except for blatant cases.

The thing that kills me about Brady and those deep rainbow passes he throws is that they are so susceptible for INTs if you have DBs that can get their heads around and locate the ball.

I hope Cam Sutton does get the start and that they do put in Brian Allen some as well. Would be nice to get some youth out there that showed the ability to make plays on the ball in college and that Brady will face for the first time. Not knowing what to expect, not having film on Sutton and Allen could play into our favor as it may make things not as easy for Brady and McDaniels.

They have to play more man to man and our pass rushers have to hit Brady. If Brady's ankle is really gimpy, or his achilles etc, then the game plan should be to force him out of the pocket and make him try and throw on the move. That means pressure up the middle, blitzes up the middle, can't let him step up in the pocket and make it easy on him with little movement on his part.

Make that 39 year old QB with a tender Achilles scramble out of the pocket, force him to throw on the run and I think INTs will happen.

Well, we know Artie can't play zone for shit, so I hope he can play man.

We are going to have to mix it up maybe using both 92and 90 as your OLB

I suspect Sensabaugh will start. Like his last several starts he will be asked to play 10 yards off and marsha will annihilate him. Sutton will eventually be on the field to mop up but I fear at that point it may be too late. I do believe that both Burns and Sutton have experience in man and was part of the reasons for being drafted. Hilton is a stud in the slot. The only concern there of course is he's a smurf. At least Hilton tackles well and is also instinctive. Two very helpful advantages IMO. Feel really good about Hilton. The outside corners I feel are suspect Sutton included. I hope they prove my suspicions inaccurate.

Side Note: I doubt very seriously Haden will be a full go Sunday. No information just a hunch. I would not rush him into action too soon. There will still be the postseason. Patience are a virtue.
