MB was in for 36 snaps of 67 plays....DHB 31, Eli 25.

How the fuck does that happen??

Anyone who tries to defend Tomlin -- please respond to this post. Literally the easiest thing for a coach to do is play your best players. By choosing to play DHB snaps instead of MB, Tomlin choose to play his weaker players. What fucking dumbass. I despise this whole coaching staff.

He said BB was best in the business when a team is predictable ... they shut simplicity down.

It's like Groundhog Day with our coaches ....

They played scared and lost
They were beating the Pats well on O and decided to take the game out of their main players hands.
It is the contradiction of Tomlin ... preaches players over stratagy but pulls the rug out on players to sate his fear. Not sure how you don't stay aggressive through your key players last night in the fourth

I really wonder if they would have done this had Brown not gotten injured.

Losing Brown obviously spooked the hell out of Tomlin and Haley.

It shouldn't have...Bryant and JuJu, and even Eli, showed they were more than willing and able to step up.

And I wonder if Heyward-Bey got a lot of snaps because they didn't want to pull either Bryant or JuJu out of their normal roles.

Whatever the reasoning...it was stupid.

They refused to let Ben win it when it mattered

Imagine how Martavis feels today.

"I did everything they asked of me...they don't use me in the second half".

You didn’t strike me as a person that would deliberately miscast something somebody said because of an agenda.

Where do you think I said the penalties were caused by turtling?

Bc I quickly scanned your post and misinterpreted this:
"The 2nd and 23 is maddening BECAUSE of the turtling mindset.

Turtling affects who you put out there..."

I apologize. (Never confuse incompetence with motive. )

But while I understand why people are bashing Tomlin for going Turtle, I just don't think we can minimize those back to back penalties. That was an unmitigated disaster. As soon as it was 2 and 23, I knew it was a punt. I knew they were not about to risk a pic down there.

That might be too conservative for their own good, but I understand it.

I don't know that I have an agenda here. Not championing decision for turtle ball. I'm just saying that the penalties ruined the drive. And it was at Heinz. No noise. Just unforced player error that had nothing to do with scheme. Maddening.

At the time, I thought they were obviously throwing in the towel on that possession, for whatever reason. BUT, didn't Berry shank the punt and put us in horrible field position? Help me if I'm mis-remembering.

When my now 34 year old nephew was 6 years old, my sister-in-law left him home with his dad (my brother) during a Steelers-Browns game. Steelers that day had Todd Blackledge under center. On the news the next night, with both parents home and in the living room, Blackledge appears, being interviewed, to which my nephew stated..."Look Dad; there's Asshole."
