In all the discussion of what a catch is, Antonio Brown's injury has been lost in the soup.

Look at the replay and tell me if any of you think the Pats defensive back purposefully put his knee into Brown's leg.

I noticed it live, and wondered if anybody else saw it as well. Or am I just making shit up.

Thoughts?

Foster in concussion protocol and Brown out with the lower leg injury. Looks like full practices for Haden, McDonald and Matakevich.

I think you're making shit up. Wish AB had made the catch.

No...he was not kicked in the leg on purpose.

Worse...Brown dropped it before he was even touched.

It looked suspicious because the defender didn't try to avoid contact since the ball was dropped. Even Romo said he "got kicked in the leg."

Whatever. Just wanted to know if anybody else thought it looked weird.

And AB looked like he was more worried about JuJu smacking his head instead of catching the ball.

pro football is FAST. I doubt he could have put his knee there on purpose if he wanted too.

The DB risked a season ending knee injury of his own to kick AB in the calf?

Look at the DB's knee on the play....he's lucky to not have had a significant injury of his own.

What the hell is JuJu doing on that play? Is he ad-libbing? Across the front of AB's route?

Talk all you want about the drop...but JuJu brought a DB into the play which may have caused both AB to lose concentration / drop the ball AND get injured.

Believe it or not, but this happens quite often. On JJs non TD catch, JuJu was right behind him. There have been numerous times I've seen receiver almost right on top of each other and wondering why!

Two years ago, I said Burfict injured Bell intentionally. That assertion was said (not necessarily by you) to be utterly ridiculous. I think your suspicion here is way less likely.

But what the hell do I know? The genius patriots are coached to never lunge with the football after a catch in order to avoid what the Steelers experienced with the Jesse James non-catch. They probably learn jujitsu/ninjutsu/navy seal hand to hand combat moves during OTA's and know how to inflict pain in plain sight without drawing a flag.

I have not watched that replay yet till now..i remember the collective grown thru out the bar as our season looked ruined with brown looking seriously injured...
I believe juju is more to blame for the miss as the pats defense.. seems brown saw contact coming from his right fast and flinched and dropped ball..prob didn't know it was friendly fire. thanks juju..oh well shit happens !
