Several unnamed teams want the NFL to force Green Bay to release Aaron Rodgers since they put him on IR again after the Packers were eliminated from the playoffs and didn’t say he had a new injury.

The rules say each assignment to IR requires a new injury, and punishment for violating this does require release and placement on waivers.

Be interesting to see where this goes.

I'm not shocked this is something you find so interesting. This is right up the alley of the board hall monitor stickler for rules

Money fines are pointless to me.

We once had to give up a 3rd round pick for a contract irregularity with G/T Will Wolford. The NFL would never have noticed it and we voluntarily brought it to the NFL's attention. A 3rd round pick was forfeit.

The NFL has rules in place and teams are expected to follow it. I thought it was really bizarre too how the Rodgers things was handled. If they broke the rules then they should be fined but moreso they need a deterrent so that other teams get the message.

Green Bay should have to forfeit a 1st round pick. It is only right and fair.
