Was Harrison on the field on the Patriots game winning drive(s)?

If not...I wonder if there was some kind of player-coach confrontation and/or meeting afterward/since.

Maybe Harrison asked to be cut?

Maybe he's been a pain in the ass?

The immediate, agenda driven, rush to blame Tomlin is as hilarious as it is predictable.

Hes 39 years old and he isn't very good anymore. Tough shit.

He didn't play at all against New England. He played 40 snaps all year and had 3 tackles and 1 sack.

Dude is done.

Forty three and steelknife, tell me, if Harrison “sucks” now, how would you describe the play of moats or chickillo this season?

Good. I hope he's on the team during the AFCCG and the Steelers just throw to Bell on James side all game and watch him fail at trying to make a play over and over.

No. He won't play a snap. They will just get all the defensive signals from him in return for a week's pay.

Harrison giving ZERO EFFORT and even at 39 years old is better than that c*nt, Arthur Moats.

Spare me the bullshit about how horrible Harrison is now.

Special Teams. Harrison doesn't play them, so it's hard to even dress him.

They play on special teams, primarily.

Besides, it might only be a temporary move. For all we know, they could re-sign him in two weeks.

Teams don't ever change defensive signals.

Why should he be out there if he sucks?

43 curious how you know he currently sucks? Hes barely been used and the litttle bit of PT he has gotten hes looked like there could definitley still be something there.

A better question would be why is Mitchell out there since he sucks? Why is Landry fkn Jones on the roster because he sucks? Why is Coty Sensabaugh on the roster since he sucks?

He got paid to work out and mentor young players, and act as coach during games?

This.
Moats can’t set an edge or shed blocks. IMO he should have been cut long ago.

Harrison, in limited time, made one of the biggest plays of the year.

...but he sucks.

B2B is on point...it's about special teams when it comes to the Harrison/Moats/Chick comparisons. Plus he may be resigned. Maybe he wanted Christmas off (ha).

Comparing the 3 defensively, Harrison's 3 tackles and 1 sack in 40 snaps compare favorably to Moats' and Chickillo's tackles and sacks, per snap.

Chick has 3 sacks in 238 defensive snaps...about 1/80. Moats 0 sacks in 65 defensive snaps. Chick has 18 tackles (including ST tackles?) and Moats 7.

Found this interesting....170 of chickillo's defensive snaps came in weeks 1-3.

He's played 40 snaps and has 1 sack and 3 tackles. He is producing at a rate not much better than Chickillo. He cannot play the pass. He doesn't play special teams.

If both guys suck, who is more valuable?

For sure there is more here than just Harrison being released, something internal.

Harrison probably threatened to kill Tomlin.

...or so I wish.

It’s actually fairly external. We’re in the middle of a winning streak and he’s going to the media bitching that he would’ve never re-signed with the Steelers if he could go back and do it over again.

I mean, the guy is a Steelers legend, and I hate for it to end like this, but we don’t need that shit. Dude needs some perspective.

Harrison is arguably my all-time favorite Steeler. I’m a bit bummed, but I don’t get the outrage. He’s played 40 snaps all year and obviously wasn’t a part of their plans. Shit happens.
