Kinda stupid to play to win when the team stands no chance of beating New England now that James Harrison is on their team.

Once he teaches the Patriots the Steelers secret handshake it's all over!

Lot of cute remarks, but I have yet to hear someone explain how the release of Harrison benefits this Steeler team, short term or long term.

I've heard good arguments as to why it doesn't help...depth at pass-rusher position. But nothing of substance as to the benefit.

Please enlighten me.

Perhaps Harrison was causing issues in the locker room.

Perhaps they wanted to do him a favor as a "thank you for your service" kind of thing.

Just because we don't know the reason doesn't mean there wasn't a good one.

It's all about perspective.

Anyway, I figure starters play first half (which is probably a good thing)....then take a seat when NE is up 4 TD's at half.

No, watch, Belichick will intentionally have the Pats losing to the Jets up until the end just to fuck with us.

Silly me....the zebras will keep that game close, but NE will never be in any real danger. They've really made Riveron earn his salary this year.

I wonder how they'll negate a Jets TD this week.

Riveron at a NE game is kind of like those old Schoolhouse Rock cartoons, only instead of how a bill becomes a law they're trying to explain the NFL rule book to us.

Congress is less confusing (but only slightly less incompetent).

They'll play until the bitter end, unless NE pulls its starters with a big lead or the Steelers have a big enough lead to take the starters out, like they did late last game.

I hope he gets too eager in practice to earn his way onto the field, and wrecks Brady :D

Or somehow pulls the ultimate heel act to help the NYJ steal a win, to make-up for PIT getting hosed against NE.

See the video clip I embedded in podcast thread :D

Only because James Harrison told him to.

Bill Belichick ok'd taking on James Harrison. That's all I need to know that the man is still viable and contribute. Belichick has made Tomlin look like a mental midget every single their teams have played since 2013. Funny as fuck some here trust Tomlin's judgment over Belichick's.

BB cut a young draft pick LB under 25 who was considered a good prospect to make room for a 39 year old

Who did they cut, and is he better than what we have?

We should sign his ass just because...

Trevor Reilly, the Jets' 7th round pick in 2014 out of Utah.
