I’m wondering if Vikings lock up 2 seed in earlier game if Carolina thinks about resting starters for their game. For the teams that have to play next week seems to me resting the really important guys makes the most sense.

If it's as cold during today's game as it is in Toronto then there is probably no advantage playing anyone even for a short while & it could be much easier getting hurt. I'd rest anyone they can.

Hell No! I want those fuckheads at full strength with no excuses when the Steelers dominate them at their next meeting.

That.....and losing to Hoyer would be really painful.

Really guys, it would somehow tarnish a victory over the pats if Brady isn't there?? not for me, nobody asks about who was in the respective lineups when you walk by those shiny silver trophies, all they do is count them up. Hell if somehow Bellichek came up lame, id be all for that too.

I know I'm an awful human being to be rooting for injury, or in Still Lit's assessment, a pussy for doing so....but I would be on the fuckin' ceiling were to happen....or to that fuckin' meathead Gronkowski.

Probably doesn't make any difference...but defending a kid first time out sometimes leads to unknowns to defend against.

I'm with Swiss. If you don't start Ben, dress him.

Be interesting to see if McCullers gets a hat...considering the criticism Tomlin got for keeping someone he never played.

Be freakin' awesome to see Hack beat the Pats. Dude hooked up for some big plays with Jesse James at Penn State....was #1 recruited QB in country coming out of high school.

If given the choice, I’d rather host the AFCC game instead of going up to Foxboro and proudly getting our asses kicked by a “healthy Patriots” team.

Fuck that

I didn't imply that greek. I just want to see their faces in boston after the visiting Steelers dominate them in their house on the way to #7.... The Ultimate Revenge is Success!

Honest to Christ....I want Steelers to be in Minnesota on Feb. 4...regardless of the route they take to get there.

I'm rooting to play the Tennessee Titans, or Buffalo Bills, in Heinz for the AFCCG.

This 100%. Sure, I'd rather beat Brady but it wouldn't diminish my joy one bit if he didn't play.

understood '77...for me if a victory over the pats included brady being healthy, that would be a bonus and make it somewhat sweeter sure, but ya I just want the Steelers hoisting a Lombardi first and foremost

If it wasn't for some lame ass interpretation of some dumbass rule the Steelers would've/did already beat those fuckheads.

I hope he breaks his fuggin leg the first series. Nothing career-ending - just a 8-12 week recovery.

And the more times the steelers beat the pats, the more the jinx goes away.

That's why the overturned TD shit just prolonged the process of liberation.

Good. Maybe NE pulls Brady when they get lead. Maybe the Jets and super pissed over the TD that they were fucked over and decide today is repayment with interest. They can't win the game, they can hit Brady on blitz or at the whistle. Let the blood be internal unless a bone is exposed.

I hung out with him at a restaurant last spring with a mutual friend. Nicest kid in the world. I feel bad for all the shit he gets. I'd love to see him succeed.

This post is ridiculous. Do you think Brady and Belichick care about things like "rust?" Just go out and execute.

Brady is playing because, as you said, they don't have the #1 seed locked up and they want homefield advantage throughout.

Remember when Belichick played Welker in a meaningless game and he tore his ACL? What a fucking genius.

Whomever said acclimation to game speed is spot on.

You cant account for that practicing. At the QB position the most.

Is there really a big difference in the rust factor between 13-14 days off vs 20-21? If we are worried about rust, then Been is going to be rusty regardless of playing today.

Maybe we should have lost a couple more games to avoid the first round bye rust!
