Left-of-center, too smart for its own good.

1. Arden Key, OLB/DE, LSU. KC and company just drooling at this kid dropping from a potential 2017 top 10 pick to pick 28.
2. Josey Jewell, ILB, Iowa. Under the radar, but big conference producer
3. Kyzir White, SS, West Virginia. Could the Steelers join the modern NFL and have a cover SS?
5a. Bo Scarbrough, RB, Alabama. Relatively low-mileage, early entrant. Another Bell in the rough?
5b. Daurice Fountain, WR, Northern Iowa. Tallish WR with some deep speed.
7a. Darius Jackson, ILB, Jacksonville State. Hedging bets and build depth.
7b. Kahlil McKenzie Jr., DT, Tennessee. Big boy complement to Hargrave.

Funny thing is: there's only one player from those two mocks I'd be happy about, and maybe 2-3 I'd be okay with.

Yeah the only guy I really like in this one is Fountain.

Has anyone mock drafting taken into consideration the potential depth already on the roster? Adams, Galambos, Kelsey, Huguenin... are we seeing any of these players potentially breaking onto the roster? There's 2 ILB's and 2 Edge rushers.... plus the starters. I realize they'll target LB'ers and hopefully a couple safety prospects but why are we fixated on drafting 2 even 3 LB'ers this draft is my question.

I've been curious about this same topic. I don't know much about the guys you listed. Can anyone provide any insight into them?

I don't think Adams is an edge rusher. I think he's a dime LB or maybe an ILB backup... long-term. He is a blitzer, not a rusher, if you get me. Galambos is like a lesser version of Dirty Red. Kelsey & Hugenin might be developed into something but I think they are JAGs and STs fodder. We need a BIG upgrade at LB depth. Like three LBs, minimum, including one who can start at Mack ILB and not be embarrassing.

Pretty much where I'm at as well.

The depth on defense sucks at every position except maybe corner.
They had to pick up and start Spence who was sitting on his couch for the playoffs.
OLB depth sucks
Safety depth sucks. DT depth sucks.

Conversely, CB is the deepest ever, maybe. right up there.

Dare I contemplate trading Artie Burns for a S or LB?

Any Artie Burns defenders left?
