I'm starting to be really concerned about our lack of playmakers on both offense and defense. Just can't shake this bad feeling I have about this season. I don't really see any impact pass rusher on this team nor do I see a good complement to Antonio Brown. Marcus Wheaton is still unproven, and Martavis Bryant is a rookie(and injured) so I don't expect much out of him. Lance Moore has done little as well. There's no clear replacement for Heath Miller who has been an integral part of our offense for the last few years. I really have no clue what to expect at cornerback, it might be the position with the worst depth on the team. Taylor is gone after this year and we have a bunch of journeyman in Brice McCain, Isaiah Green, and Antwon Blake. Who is here for the long-haul? Does Worilds bolt in free agency after this season? Does Jarvis Jones really take a step forward in? Just seems like we have a lot of unanswered questions going into next year despite how the season pans out. Free agency has never been a real answer for us for impact play makers and I'm unsure if we can get the ones we need in one draft class. While Shazier and Tuitt definitely will be here and hopefully make a good impact, we really need to get two more play makers that give this team a real bright future. All I can say is thank God for Ben, because if it weren't for him I would have no hope going into the season. I know that through him this team can be quite good.

Sorry for the rant. With all that being said, I'd like people to start listing guys who can be play makers for us in this upcoming draft class. While I have guys I think I like, I'd really like to hear what you guys have to say. I feel like we would be drafting a outside linebacker probably in the first four rounds again. I feel like another difference maker at wide receiver or tight end will be addressed as well as a cornerback. We need to draft for impact players at our biggest needs. I don't think we have the luxury of taking best player available for the next draft.....too many holes. Below I have the positions laid out and I'll add names for guys that are listed and that we need to keep an eye on this college football season.

I'm concerned with the lack of JAGs

We have our HOFs, that's covered. We have one young All Pro in AB.

The rest of the squad is not reliable in what one would expect that they would do. Heyward has looked disappointing. Jervis has been up and down. Bell is a moron. Then the talent drops way off with the exception of a few specialists like Sharko. Lots of these guys don't even look like they would make playoff contenders. This looks a lot like an expansion team with odds and ends from here and there. I hope I'm wrong. Comon Steelers PROVE ME WRONG! i WANNA EAT CROW!

I think in another year Brown/Bryant/Wheaton could be a really nice top 3 WR trio. All the offense really lacks at this point is a young athletic TE and a good LT. If Beachum or Adams develop into 'above average' this year I think that will be good enough.

Ditto your thoughts on the defense. They need that nasty edge rusher. I have my doubts about both guys currently on the roster. If Worilds blows up this year they probably lose him in FA. The Steelers havent had a playmaker at CB since 1996.

Markus Wheaton is closer to being out of the NFL in two years than he is to being part of a solid trio. Bryant is so raw that his ability to grow into a great player is still very iffy.

It does seem that a big TD machine TE would be the next big piece. Hey, Gronkowski was the 44th pick in the draft, and if it doesn't go well for us this year, we'll have two picks before that.

Jean Sifrin, TE, UMass. 6'7"

Move TE who is big and has good hands. Juco transfer who chose UMass over Oklahoma, Kansas, & USC.

Holy shit. Sifrin just made the top 10 on Sportscenter. I'm proud to be first on the bandwagon.

His 2nd TD of the 1st half vs Colorado was one of the most spectacular catches I've ever seen.
