I would take this draft. The quality players you were able to add throughout makes the risk of Trubisky worth it, IMO. Ben is the reason we are a perennial contender, but he's also turning into a bit of a bitter old man. If he can't relate to the younger players today, that's going to create friction in the locker room and it's probably best for both sides if he retires in a year or two.

truly, my only gripe about this draft is taking Trubinsky with probably at least two superior QBs sitting there. :)

I'd rather see them take Mahomes, if they're going to go QB there.

Exactly. I do not trust one year starters. Huge red flag.

I actually really like Mahomes potential as a starter in the NFL. He has the size, athleticism and talent......he just comes from an offensive system that generally doesn't translate well to the NFL.

that guy is like Ben-- doesn't really play within any system right now... but is still G-R-E-A-T.

It's funny you say that, because when I was initially done I wasn't happy with it. Multiple guys got sniped right before I picked including Eddie Jackson, Eddie Vanderdoes, etc. I couldn't believe that so many of the OLBs that I wanted weren't there when I was ready to pick.

However, once I stepped back I was pretty happy with it. I traded down in the 2nd when I didn't have to, but couldn't pass on the value of adding two 3rd round picks and another 4th. Obviously, I traded back in the 1st for a 2nd, 3rd and 4th. I was a little reluctant to take Mixon because I don't think that the Steelers would select him but the value of him as a backup RB to Bell was too good to pass up on.

The only guy I've seen mixed reviews on is Qualls. Some say he's inconsistent and disappears for series some say he is only a 2 down run stuffer/gap eater. I honestly haven't watched extensive tape but what I did watch, to me he seems like he'd be another pure nose in the mold of Hargraves.
