Harrison, and D. Williams come back, no splash free agents.

1.OLB Solomon Thomas Stanford I've seen him mocked from the top 5 to the top of the 2nd. Maybe the Steelers get luck like with Pouncey, and DeCastro and he falls in their laps.

2.FS Marcus Williams Utah. I'm over Mitchell, all talk little action, its time for a ball hawk free safety.

3. CB Chidobe Awuzie Colo Every draft there's one, or two guys I latch onto. He takes over for Cockrell mid season.

4.WR Stacy Coley Miami 6'0 190, 4.4 fourty , I don't trust Bryant to stay off the dope. Coley can take the top off the defense.

5.OLB Steven Taylor Houston Fast athletic olb.

6.DE Vincent Taylor Ok State quick, and strong, junior.

7.RB Marlon Mack USF three 1,000 yard seasons.

That's a nice haul, cop

Not sure Thomas is a fit or that he's anywhere near available at #30, but what do I know?

I think Williams is exactly what the Steelers need. A pure CF FS. Best C2 safety in the draft.

I'm not sure I like him as a last line of defense as a tackler, but I agree that he's a good centerfielder-- makes plays on the ball underneath. He's not always the best at playing the ball in the air on the deep balls, but he's also there-- doesn't get lost in coverage.

If Williams is gone Id be fine with Evans from A&M.

I like Evans a bit more overall.

What about Eddie Jackson? Anybody have an informed take?

If they pass on a safety in the first 3 rounds and Jackson is available in the 4th Id grab him, they need to move on from S. Thomas, and Golden is certainly replaceable as a back up.

Im hoping they grab a safety in the top 3, but I got a feeling Coach T likes Mitchell, and they draft a safety in rounds 4-6.

I also like [in no particular order] Marcus Maye, Obi Melifonwu, Rayshawn Jenkins, Demetrious Cox, Montae Nicholson, John Johnson and Josh Jones. Very deep safety class this draft. I think the Steelers could double dip at safety if they wanted. I think they'll be available throughout the draft and UDFA.

I do like Williams. I think they may have to spend at least a 2nd RND pick on safety position. We'll see after the underwear olympics results where guys fall in ranking. I could see Williams falling into the top of the 1st RND where Steelers are. Would they spend a 1st RND pick on safety?

Well, it's been a consistent problem for them, so...
