Thanks, brother-- but I'm just a guy who watches film and sees possibilities. If only Joel were still around, he'd be the most famous sports personality in America right now.

For the kids at the board(when I say kids I mean anyone under 35  )

Joel is Joel Buchbaum

http://old.post-gazette.com/sports/columnists/20030117gene306spcol2p1.asp

When it comes to the draft he is/was somewhere between God and Einstein

Joel was Elvis and Kiper is every shitty Elvis impersonator you've seen

What makes someone a draft expert?

The internet puts everything at your finger tips...Its a few clicks away.

I've been following the draft for a real long time...

Everyone gets it wrong...Its not an exact science. That being said...I don't buy into draft experts.

I trust B2B more than

McShay
Kiper
Bucky Brooks
Mayock

When Andrew Norwell makes a pro bowl(UDFA) and Greg Robinson busts out of the NFL a small part of there soul dies. On the other hand I sit back laugh and think...How did the board at Fury get this and the experts shit the bed?

The experts live and die by the herd mentality...Not one of them will go out on a limb

Great post.

Steelers represented at WVU's pro day, w/ Asst Carnell Lake running DB drills - 6-2 CB Rasul Douglas intriguing late-round prospect for them https://twitter.com/JFowlerESPN/status/ ... pro-day%2F

Has safety written all over him IMO. I think Douglas or Jeremy Clark are great candidates for safety at the next level. Both big corners in college. Both are draftable. Clark is rehabbing from an ACL tear and didn't do any combine/pro day stuff so he will likely be a late RND pick.

Rasul Douglas really is very interesting. I think that he could be one of these hybrid CB/S/LB tweeners that could be in play in round 3.

While I was watching some of his highlights I got a chill run down my spine on one forced fumble that he did.

Does anybody remember Carl Pickens? Back in the 90's he was a great WR for Cincy. He had back to back years where he combined for 199 catches and 29 TDs. I remember one game where Pickens caught a pass and was off to the races. Carnell Lake tracked him down and then for 15 yards he was mirroring him step for step, got right up behind him and punched the ball loose. One of the greatest plays that I had ever seen. That is what I saw Douglas do and what reminded me of that play by Lake.

He (Douglas) has safety size, experience at CB but probably does not have the long speed to stay at CB, only ran a 4.59. He may not be as physical as some want but it is more important to me that he plays the pocket of the WR, that he forces contested catches, that he has ball hawking skills, that he is an instinctive playmaker. Can he be a moveable chess piece that you can line up at CB, at S, at LB to matchup on TEs and RBs? Yeah, I think Douglas could fit that bill nicely.

Carson Newman CB-WR-RS Kevin Snead ran 4.22/4.26 40s at Tennessee pro day.

Steelers coach Mike Tomlin asked Snead to catch PR/KR ...cont'd https://twitter.com/Eric_Edholm/status/ ... ootball%2F

I'm seeing others had him timed at 4.32/4.37 too, but I think that's splitting hairs. https://twitter.com/FusionSport/status/ ... hington%2F

6'0 190 with corner experience and a track star as well. Ran the 60 meter in 6.91s and 200 meter in 22.30s.

for a corner, I'd rather have others... but for a look-see in camp for a PR/KR? Hell, yeah.
