Villanova DL Tanoh Kpassagnon is visiting the Steelers on Tuesday.
Kpassagnon is an impressive looking prospect, and when it is all put together his tape is outstanding. However, that does not happen often enough. Kpassagnon might fit as an interior defensive lineman or on the edge, depending on the scheme.

The Steelers are hosting Alabama edge rusher Tim Williams on Tuesday, according to Bob Labriola.
Williams likely lands in the second round, but the Steelers in the back half of round one is not unreasonable. Williams can certainly rush the passer, and the Steelers are absolutely in need of a young player to do that on their roster. Williams is also an underrated run defender.

That they are using a visit on Tim Williams and yet no Willis nor Tyus Bowser visit or proday attendance nor combine meeting...

I might as well proactively break my TV.

I see Tanoh Kpassagnon as a 4-3 RDE. i am not sure he can be effective losing 10-15 lbs to play OLB

He's not an edge guy at all. He might be a 3-4 DE someday.

I'd rather have Wormley, Deatrich Wise, or Cameron Malveaux to play 3-4 DE, though.

I don't know whether to laugh or let the impending doom wash over me. We get Jervis 2.0 and we're likely fucked and won't get over the hump and back to the big dance. Being the optimist I am, I'll root for the grand fucking slam homerun pick that turns out to be JJ Watt type of monster. :)

Not an 'official visit' but I thought I'd post this in here anyway.

Quote:
The Pittsburgh Steelers were among a large group of NFL teams who attended a somewhat unusual workout on Tuesday. Virginia Commonwealth basketball player Mo Alie-Cox has decided to try his hand at the NFL, so he wants to show off his skills as a tight end.
http://steelerswire.usatoday.com/2017/0 ... -alie-cox/

Also there's this from NFL network about the youngster.

Quote:
An NFL spokesman confirmed that Alie-Cox was "eligible for the 2016 NFL Draft and has remained a free agent since the conclusion of that draft." Therefore, he won't be in the 2017 draft -- and can sign immediately. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap300000 ... free-agent

Quote:
Alie-Cox was encouraged to explore the possibility two years ago by Cowboys TE Jason Witten.

NFL teams thus far @ Mo Alie-Cox's workout: Bears, Lions, Dolphins, Vikings, 49ers, Browns, Patriots, Redskins, Chiefs and Steelers https://twitter.com/LaneCtvsports/statu ... lie-cox%2F

6-45, 262, 86 2/8 wing, 11 1/8 hand, 35 7/8 arm, 4.75 40, 35.5 vert, 10 2 broad, 4.45 shuttle, 7.25 3 cone https://twitter.com/MikeGarafolo/status ... lie-cox%2F

He picked a bad year to come out-- there are so many talented, lesser known, more athletic, more experienced TE types. His wingspan sounds like something he can win with, though.

Apparently he's a converted WR. I have honestly never heard of the guy.

MVP of the Tropical Bowl All-Star game... 3 TDs, including a deflection on a Hail Mary. Lacks the quicks to be a real force as a move TE but he's not too bad as a UDFA project.

Added 2 to the "Unconfirmed" list.

Apparently Davis Webb (QB from Cal) has a visit scheduled.

Treyvon Hester is a Nose Tackle out of Toledo. He's from Penn Hills, so it will be a local visit.

Apparently Treyvon Hester had a very impressive workout last week in Toledo. 13 teams represented. He had labrum surgery in December so didn't participate at the combine.
4.8 40 yd, 31.5 vert, good shuttle time as well. He's getting some hype late in the process.

They love big men who can move

B2B's boy Pita in town. I'm sure he's going to be pumped. Don't know much about Kallon or Gamble.
