Going to be out and about all day (Beerfest!), so want to get this started while I’m sober.

I haven’t seen anything on it Brassard will be able to play tonight. I’m guessing not and that he’ll make his debut on 2/27.

Do it.

Last night the Pens came out sloppy. Caufield said they had 9 TO's in the first period. From there on the whole team played tighter and dominated.

Four days off does that to a team.

Florida is the best of the mediocre. They have a very diverse group of young defensemen, all mostly 1st and 2nd round picks, and are anchored by that Yandle-Ekblad tandem. Ekblad struggled on and off this year, but he still can bring the goals.

The Panthers have a very good top 6. Huberdeau is the real deal, but the two guys that carry them are the centers Trochek (pittsburgh boy) and Barkov. I think bjugstad is a bit overrated and he's mostly struggled this year. Dadonov, winger on L1, is a really interesting case. Dude went from the NHL back to the KHL, matured his game, and now that he's back, he's been great for the Panthers.

Only really other interesting player is Jared McCann, who usually centers line 3. Young, first round pick. Believe he was traded in the Gudbransson (probably spelling wrong) deal because of attitude issues. Other than that, it's a very vanilla bottom 6. Phil might have another big game.

Also, you're going to love hearing about Malkin's evil brother "Malgin" all game.

Penguins projected lineup
Conor Sheary -- Sidney Crosby - Patric Hornqvist

Carl Hagelin -- Evgeni Malkin -- Bryan Rust

Jake Guentzel -- Riley Sheahan -- Phil Kessel

Dominik Simon -- Carter Rowney -- Zach Aston-Reese

Brian Dumoulin -- Kris Letang

Olli Maatta -- Justin Schultz

Matt Hunwick -- Jamie Oleksiak

Matt Murray

Tristan Jarry

Scratched: Chad Ruhwedel, Derick Brassard

Injured: Tom Kuhnhackl (lower body)

Trying at this moment to find out if Murray will indeed start tonight.

I feel bad for the wingers on the fourth line if that is how it rolls tonight(to start) before Sully does his board mix.

Sid's not going to like it, but I love it. Hornqvist and Sid just produce, and Sheary can be the guy that they drag along with them. I'm excited to see what Simon/ZAR can do going up against another team's 4th line. That's what good teams do. They bring along their guys and keep playing them. Rust is producing well with Malkin/Hagelin and it keeps him away from Crosby. This is a simple plug and play on Tuesday. Move Brassard to L3 and drop Sheahan down.

*EDIT*

The above arent the lines as of now. :(

Yeah, the lines I took from the NHL site were way off.

That was a nice save by Jarry.

Shit!! Pens were dominating last part of the period...was looking to them to go up 2-1 heading into the break. Instead it's the opposite.
