Please don't vote for Corbett

He should be in prison sharing a cell with Jerry Sandusky

I'm writing in Ken Krawchuk. Corbett vs. Wolf is akin to AIDS vs. AIDS with a cold sore.

I'm glad they made an offer to Martin. Even if they lose them they get picks. Considering how all the people who have turned down offers have fared, both should accept it.

Which one's got the cold sore?

I'm eagerly awaiting the day corporation-people are able to run for office so we can just cut out the middle-men.

Anyway...

I'm hoping the Pirates can hire Anonymous to hack Martin's phone/computer/tablet/TV/car stereo to play subliminal messages urging him to sign the offer.

Wow politics and sacrilege all in one blog. Well done.

So long Russell. The Buccos will be that much worse for your departure. Oh, and fuck you up the ass with a broken Coke bottle, Nutting.

Cubs seem to be pushing hard for Martin. That would give me a sad.

Don't really think it's a surprise they declined. Part of the process, right?

So the Pirates get the Cubs 1st round choice if Martin signs with them. No one will sign Liriano. he should have taken the offer.

No. The signing team loses the puck and everyone moves up one spot. The team that losers the player gets a pick between rounds one and two.

Martin signed with the Jays.

Liriano reportedly wants 3 or 4 years at 12 million per. Very reasonable and if that ends up being the number and it's not with the Pirates that's a shame.

Well- they have the $16 M they were reportedly going to offer Martin...

Seriously- if the Bucs' payroll isn't at $90 M or higher this season, Nutting is is still Nutting, and "we'll spend when the time is right" was for sure just talk.
