At Dodger Stadium
Game time: 4:10PM ET
Probable starters:
PIT: Chad Kuhl (2-0, 3.91 ERA)
LAD: Brett Anderson (0-0, -.-- ERA)

Quote:
After missing five months due to a March back surgery, Dodgers lefty Brett Anderson will make his season debut against rookie righty Chad Kuhl and the Pirates in Sunday's series finale at Dodger Stadium.

Anderson has made three rehab starts between Class A Advanced Rancho Cucamonga and Triple-A Oklahoma City, topping out at 71 pitches and five innings in his final start.

"I'm excited for Brett," manager Dave Roberts said Friday. "It's been a long road for him. To get him back, it's obviously a good thing for us."

Kuhl will be making his second start since being called up to basically fill a permanent spot in the roster. He looked strong in his first game back, allowing two earned runs in six innings

The Dodgers are a familiar opponent for Kuhl, as he made his Major League debut against them June 26. He beat Clayton Kershaw, who was making his last start before hitting the disabled list with a herniated disk.

Three things to know about this game

• David Freese and Josh Harrison will likely be back in the Pirates' lineup after sitting against right-hander Brandon McCarthy on Saturday. Freese is batting .352/.423/.620 against left-handers this season.

• Justin Turner was scratched from Saturday's starting lineup with a bruised right hand and may not return Sunday. His presence would be helpful for the Dodgers considering he went 2-for-3 with a double and homer the last time they saw Kuhl.

• Dodgers catcher Yasmani Grandal was out of Saturday's starting lineup to get some rest, but was batting .323 in his past 30 games. In that span, Grandal led the NL in both home runs (12) and slugging percentage (.740, min. 100 plate appearances).

My notes:
- Yes, Cole was crap yesterday, but what about the Buc hitters? 18 men stranded? That tied the club record set in 1951 vs. the Boston Braves. Not Milwaukee or Atlanta - the Boston Braves.
- Does this team actually focus on defensive fundamentals in spring training? That's one of their biggest bugaboos.
- Back to Cole, the dude is struggling against left-handed hitters. Last season lefties had a .222 batting average against him. This season? .310. Dodger lefties went 9-16 against him yesterday.

BEAT 'EM BUCS!!!

Mercer and Serpico with dingers to blast it open right from the start.

5-0 cushion for Kuhl!

7-2 baby! Let's GO!

Is this team dominant? Nope. Is this team without a lot of flaws? Nope.

Is this team playing with some heart in the wake of some horrid deadline trades? You fucking bet!!!

Let's GO!
