Personally, I think it's the biggest Penguin goal EVER...no question.

And re: this list, I'll put Max Talbot's right behind....the Mario goal in Game ONE of finals, 3rd at best.

Kuni's goal put this team into the Finals when their season could just as easily have been ended.

I think I agree that this should be #1. My list would go like this

1) Kunitz Double OT game 7 2017 ECF
2) Kasparaitis OT Game 7 2001 EC Semis
3) Mario finals seconds of Game 1 92 Finals
4) Sykora Triple OT Game 5 2008 Finals

After that the rest of the list is really splitting hairs.

One measure of momentous events in Pittsburgh sports history is sleep deprivation. I'd have to rank K's 2nd OT game 7 numbrt one in Pens history

I'd put Petr Nedved's in there somewhere. Wasn't as far along in the process, but a 4OT winner, anyway.

Right after Maz's homerun.

Part of me thinks that Bonino's OT GW goal in the ECF last year deserves to be in the top 4. The Pens were on the brink, elimination staring them in the face, no margin for error and his shot gave them a chance for a game 7 back home. Might have been the turning point for the Pens in last year's Cup run.

Same goes for Talbot's first in game 7 for the third cup. That goal gave the Pens a huge boost and took the crowd out of it.

Give the top spot to Kunitz for Thursday night's clutch goal.

Think you have the games a bit confused, Fractal....the only OT GW goal in the ECF last year was by Sid in Game 2 to even the series.

Bonino DID end the Washington series with an OT goal in game #6 though.

I would put that one ahead of Mario's game #1 winning goal in the '91 finals.

I'd say more than a bit confused Swiss.

Game six in the ECF last year was the biggest gut check for the team in the cup run IMO.

Yes...the Pens won game 6 5-2.

The turning point in THAT game came early. Tampa appeared to have scored first but Sullivan challenged, and it was found Tampa was offside.

With the criteria of this list being "most dramatic" I think that knocks Talbot's goal down quite a bit. It was too early in the game. It just doesn't carry the same dramatic effect as these other goals. In fact, it wasn't even the most dramatic moment in that game. I know Talbot scored those goals but i can't see them in my mind. Now the save Fleury made in the last second will always be etched in my brain. By the way, this ranking by the Trib has one big omission. Brooks Orpik's series winning OT goal in game 6 against the Blue Jackets in 2013 belongs on the list.
