Some history was made last night. Rich Hill is the pitcher ever to lose a no-hit bid on a walk-off home run. Or from the good guys' standpoint Josh Harrison is the first hitter to ever end a no-hitter with a walk off home run.

Although that's a dubious stat-- Haddix gave up a HR to Joe Adcock in the 13th, but Henry Aaron-- the runner on 1st-- touched 2nd, saw that the runner from 3rd had already scored to win the game and never went around the bases. Adcock passed him on the basepaths and Aaron was ruled out and the hit ruled a 2B.

Basically yesterday was almost a carbon copy of the Haddix near perfect game, including extra innings, an error to break up the no-no, the home team pitcher escaping several jams, and a walk-off HR.

Kind of Harvey Haddix situation going on. Trevor Williams is playing the Lew Burdette role pitching a seven-hit shutout through eight innings.

I called it but an inning late. J-Hay with the walk off HR and spoils the no-no. Awesome!

Great call!
