Love how this team just shits all over itself at home early. Remember the Toronto game a few weeks ago?

Too much to ask for them to come out playing well back to back?

Looks like Crosby and Malkin came to play. Murray can't let the second one get in.

At the 6 minute mark Malkin took a neutral zone FO. The first Duck got kicked out. The next one came in and infringed on the circle which should have been a penalty. Malkin and the Pens bench was screaming for the call.

Now we become essentially a 3 line team.

With each passing game I'm starting to side with Hacksaw about a big change being needed.

Since I'm in a mood to bitch(Colts blew so many chances) how about Subway offering a Reuben sandwich on a limited basis? The last place I would go for a fucking Reuben is Subway. How insulting.

Even though Letang has been better(somewhat) recently, he is painful to watch. Ditto for Cole. Hagelin needs to come through-another invisible player this year.

There were several player interviews during and after the period and each player made it clear-get the puck behind the defense. So go out there and get the puck behind their defense. Oh, that requires effort from all the lines.

Lousy pass from Letang to Malkin who didn't get it deep(IDK how he would have). Crosby was up high on the blue line and was incredibly slow to react. And there you have the break away.
Murray is ordinary right now.

Fans need to boo the Pens.

I do. They are no where near good enough to contend in the east. Long way to go.

Enjoy your Xmas break letang. You’ve been playing like a dumbfuck

They get religion in the 2nd half. I trust in Sully. Book it.

My 2 cents. Sid and Geno want the 3-peat! Given their ages, it's their only chance to 3-peat! They are the leaders others must follow. In prior years they (and others) wanted to get their points in the regular season and then close ranks @ playoff time.

Well....If the Pens truly want the 3-peat they need, IMHO, to start closing ranks sooner....meaning they need to start playing "playoff hockey"...meaning they need to start playing games like they are road-playoff games. That means:

1. More people in the defensive end to clear the pucks and keep the goalie's vision unobstructed.
2. No more lazy line changes, especially the long changes in the 2nd period.
3. Fewer penalties mean more fewer penalties to kill PLUS more ice time even strength with their snipers.
4. Power plays -- Crash the net! Quit playing pass the puck around the perimeter. Tell Letang, Schultz, etc. to fire the biscuit and have Horny/Sid/Geno/Phil clean up the rebounds.

Oh! BTW! Maybe some of the 2nd and 3rd liners could chip in a goal or two a game -- it's not like they've been overworking in that area so far this season. Cup runs virtually always require getting contributions from more than the stars. Thank God for Phil Kessel this year or the Pens would really be in trouble!

At least the Cleveland owner was better looking.
